Very comfortable lodge with a beautiful garden and terrace. Best of all was the very kind staff in particular the host Simon. He did so much for us despite our short stay, including arranging well priced transport around the city to see the main sights, to the airport, personally taking us around the town and arranging for us to be walked back from dinner after dark. On multiple occasions he was very accommodating giving us lots of food and an amazing breakfast, the staff even cleaning our bags and walking boots as we returned from the Simien mountains! Everyone must visit Gonder and the mountains, and stay at Simon’s lodge!
