Cute hotel in a sleepy town. Off the beaten path. Definitely a 3 star mostly for excellent service. Hotel is two buildings one across the street where we stayed. New mini split heater in the room.

The location is perfect in the old town. It’s a lovely historic property with bags of character. The “suite” is a lovely room with direct access to the wonderful garden and small swimming pool. The owner, Werner, is delightful and even comes to meet you in his car to direct you to the property.

Very Spanish.
Very Spanish. Surrounded by an amazing collection of building from effectively the middle ages and the Renaissance. Trujillo is a better stop for me than Cordoba and is worth a stop of 2 or 3 nights. Get accommodation in the town.

The plaza mayor is basically around the corner, perfect for the Cheese Festival. The hostal also has an attached restaurant that serves regional plates at reasonable prices.
Excellent place to stay - the location was perfect just a short walk from the Plaza Mayor. We arrived by bus from Madrid & the host volunteered to pick us up at the bus station. This was really appreciated as we had large suitcases - she also dropped us off at the bus station when we were leaving. We would definitely stay here again.
