Wonderful Arabic architecture and less beautiful Roman Catholic structures and religious artefacts co-existing. Muslims petitioned to worship in this splendid building but,I was told, the Pope refused the request.

A holy place for centuries! Awesome in every way.
A holy place for centuries! Awesome in every way. Go to the night sound and lights mini tour. It’s amazing but no photos. So go back during the day and take photos. It’s worth it. It’s so vast you will see different things each visit. Also enjoy sitting in the orange tree courtyard with fountains. It’s free. Get tickets in advance or you will be standing in a huge line and may not get in at all. Don’t miss this in Cordoba!

The ORIGINAL PRICE IS 13EUROS. So if you visit any website that the price of the entrance is more than 13 euros, please look for more information ! They are not the official website and they wrote it very small at the bottom of their website :) what a smart act.
The Cordoba Mosque is very beautiful and I highly recommend everyone to do their research and look for the best price before purchasing it !! Because the one we bought is around 26 euros, Which is double from the original price. This is insane !! They are trying to take advantage of the tourists :))

The most beautiful Mosque in the world, together with that...
The most beautiful Mosque in the world, together with that of Damascus, both built in the Ommayad stile, but with the Mezquita that marked a departure from the buildings in Syria and Jerusalem. A masterpiece and landmark in world architecture, absolutely not to be missed. Take your time to understand its different stages of construction, going from the 8th to the 10th centuries (the later christian Cathedral raised right in the midst of it is an aberration, with even the King Carlos I which reprimanded the church authorities for "having destroyed something unique in the world").

make sure you have plenty of time to visit this Mosque. It truly lives up to it's rapport. Also make sure your batteries in your camera or phone are well charged. There are areas within the Mosque where you can take a rest and take in the splendour.

Absolutely sensational, we stumbled on Cordoba due to getting stuck in traffic in Madrid. A passerby wrote instructions and when he realised we were heading to Malaga insisted we went by Cordoba. Eternally thnakful for that heavy traffic day.

In a ten days trip of Andalusia, so far this was the best place we stayed… It was clean, big and very central. Small markets, Cordoba mosque-Cathedral, restaurants, roman Bridge, everything on walking distance. They have a very nice Kitchen to let you cook if you want. It looks to me very new and fresh apartments and for the price, it is very cheap… I would love to book it again on our next trip to Cordoba
