Perfectly situated in Plaza Espana and Gran Via. Rich breakfast buffet, kind and welcoming personnel. We booked a superior room for 2 adults and 1 child. The view from the sky bar in the 27th floor is amazing and so is the bar itself. The hotel is beautiful,clean,well organised.

Best location for first time visit in Madrid, the breakfast was overall nice they even had gluten free option so it was amazing.

+ The location is fabulous - just avoid the Carrefour Express across the Hotel - it's a tourist trap. It's right at the Plaza del Sol and its Metro. Bonus for having a police station just a few meters away.
+ You get a little water bottle and a sweet snack every morning - I enjoyed that very much
+ The room was identical to the provided photos. You can hear some noise outside, but that's a given in the city center
+ The bed was super comfy.

Don’t let the lack of can-can girls and singing matadors stop you visiting Gran Vía. Known as the ‘Broadway’ of Madrid, this long avenue is lined with high-end shops, theatres and cinemas – all built in a variety of styles that reads like an architectural guide to art history. The Goddess of Victory watches over the street from the top of the iconic Metropolis Building.
Great hotel with all the comfort and attention to detail one could ask for. Special highlight: the beautiful terrace overlooking the gran via and beyond. Highly recommended!
The location is perfect, within walking distances to almost every attractions (the Royal Palace, Gran Via, Temple of Debod, Sol and etc) easy access to metros and free bus 001 (from and to the Atocha train station). A lot of restaurants nearby and we can also cook simple breakfast in the apartment.
Good facilities and helpful staff. As we have 6 persons in total, I requested additional pillows and devut which were well prepared.
The location is ideal for sight seeing and shopping. 2 minutes walk to Callao and Gran Via. Very close to Puerta del Sol too.

Very good hotel, situated on Gran Via, a very central and beautiful street full of stores and restaurants. The metro station is just in front of the hotel. The room was beautifully decorated with a gorgeous view. The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and accomodating, especially Paula! Will definetely stay here again during my next visit to Madrid.
I’ll be traveling a lot to Madrid and I think I found my hotel. The location is perfect, 3 mins walking from Gran Via without being on it with all the chaos. Very nice and elegant hotel, very comfortable. Lovely breakfast buffet and a plus for having vegan options like soya based yoghurt. The room is very pretty, the bathroom is its best feature. Amenities in the room include hair straightener which is great and a pillow scent for sleep time. I definitely will reconsider staying here every time I come to Madrid.
In the hearth of Madrid, but still far away from the noises. Hotel is located 5 minutes walk from everything, Gran Via, Prado etc. Staff is very responsive and polite. Will be happy to stay there again.
Axel Hotel made my very first stay in Madrid unforgettable- friendly, helpful (and cute) staff, great location- everything was a stone’s throw away (Gran Vía, Chueca, Parque del Retiro for running!). Room and decorations are unique and heterofriendly which made us feel welcome;)
The location. In the heart of Madrid walking distance to places of interest. Sol, plaza mayor, la gran via you couldn’t ask for more when it comes to location. excellent public transport service, restaurants, shops you name it. The hostel organised night club for guests which I think is a fabulous idea and opportunity to socialise. Lovely place.
