The property was stunning and exactly what we needed for a short city break. It was lovely and clean and the staff were absolutely fantastic. They sent us an email before we arrived telling us how to get from the airport and gave us 3 different options of transportation we could use in full detail to get to the hotel. They were available at any time if we needed to ask any questions. They also gave us a bottle of Prosecco on our last night staying with them which was so lovely. I would really recommend staying at Càlamo Guesthouse.

We had an excellent experience.The room was very spacious.We have booked for the double room and they have upgraded us to the premium.The stuff were really friendly and very helpful even providing us some extra informations about what to see and where to eat in Madrid! The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable!Every day they were even leaving us in the room mini chocolates with a bottle of water with no extra charge !

Whole hostal is immaculate and spotlessly clean. Have stayed there twice before and always a good friendly and helpful welcome. Great location only 10 mins walk from Puerto del Sol. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby and the Anton Martín metro station gives quick access to other parts of the city.
I really love the location of this place, very close to Antón Martín Metro station. The place owner, Velilla, is very nice to us although we reached the place 1 hour before the appointed time. She immediately allowed us in, which was a must since the weather outside was so cold. She showed us how we can use her kitchen, what to do/not to do. All parts in her place are super clean and I really like that she is a non-smoker since I'm not into smoking smell. The place is totally safe and convenient. Her preps are five-starred.
Location is very convenient, next to Anton Martin Metro Station, and also bus stops as well. 24h convenience store and many other shops on the same street all within 5 mins walk. Having access codes provided allowed for extremely late night check-ins like mine. Didn't have to meet a single person as everything was done beforehand, making the checking in process very smooth on the day itself without much thought other than bringing your things there safely.
