The staff were so lovely and so helpful. The location itself was perfect, right in the centre so close to everything and so easy to find. the rooms were fantastic, so lush and luxurious. Considering it was centrally located, it wasn’t noisy and the blackout curtains worked wonders.

Situation ideal
This Parador Hotel has an unbeatable central position in Málaga beside the castle. Situated on top of Mount Gibralfaro, you can look over the city and the Mediterranean Sea from a unique perspective.
The view was really amazing.
Room was big enough.
Alcazaba
This magnificent Moorish fortress was constructed during the 10th century, when Almería was named a 'medina' (city) by the Caliph of Córdoba. The grounds are beautiful, with fountains and gardens spreading out over the hilltop. As you explore, you'll look out over the ancient city and the sea.

Visit Gibralfaro first as it's on the hilltop and walk down to Alcazaba - this makes the stroll much easier than what many the opposite, that many tourists do. Also take Uber or bus 35 to reach Gibralfaro rather than walking up the hill.

Alcazaba is probably worth seeing, but I did not think it...
Alcazaba is probably worth seeing, but I did not think it was wonderful. It consists of a bunch of mostly empty rooms and areas. The layout is quite confusing, with lots of turns; it is deliberately confusing for defensive purposes according to our guide. The guide was not very good. She had clearly memorized a speech and got confused by questions.

Worth the visit.
Worth the visit. Less well know that it's big brother in Granada but very impressive and worth the visit. Really help to do your homework and get an understanding of the time & context of when the building was in use in order to understand how far ahead of the curve the Moorish occupation of southern Spain was & how they sparked the enlightenment period across Europe.

This and the Gibralfaro make a good day out.
This and the Gibralfaro make a good day out. We recommend taking food and a lot of drink. The Alcazaba has wonderful Islamis architecture, and lots of good viewpoints.
The Gibralfaro is a stiff climb, but worth the effort.
Good location in the historic center, close to everything. Parking nearby. Attentive staff
Room was basic but clean and quiet (2nd floor facing Alcazaba)
Really nice location with old town, Alcazabar and harbour all within short walking distance. Friendly helpful staff and nice breakfast buffet (for modest extra cost). Also much appreciated that they have a park garage (also for extra cost)
Spacious split level apartment with two bathrooms - we stayed 4 nights so didn’t make the most of the living spaces and kitchen, but I think you could have a very comfortable much longer stay, kitchenette was well equipped. Appreciated the decor and design details. Large roof terrace had great views to the Cathedral and Alcazaba. Too chilly in January to use the sunbeds! Great central location with good restaurant and bar options on the doorstep.
Very good location, you can find everything within walking distance (Alcazaba, Picasso museum, seashore etc). The beds are really comfortable, the apartment is well equipped and clean, we found a few coffee capsules in the kitchen, a bottle of water in the fridge and a few more things. We liked it!
Although small the property is fantastically designed and very clean. The property is as central as can be ideally located for the museums, Alcazaba and old town. I have to mention the bed which was the most comfy I’ve ever slept on!!
Traditional house in quiet side road near beautiful Sanctuario de Victoria church close to great local wine bar and coffee shop Taybo for breakfast. 8 minutes from Alcazaba.
Charming apartment in excellent location for visiting Malaga historical centre, Alcazaba and 20 minute walk to beach. Small but very stylish and well formed. Gorgeous authentic tiles, shutters and doors. Kitchen well equipped with Nespresso machine. Very tasty restaurants in locality and handy supermarket only a 2 minute walk. All the people around were helpful and very friendly.
Apartment is near a supermarket and a square with restaurants. It's about 10 mins walk into the main old town and not far from the Alcazabar. There is a sun room with a sliding door to a small terrace that would be nice in summer.
-Excellent location! Near the museums, Alcazaba, Plaza de la constitución...Perfect for easily discovering and visiting the city.
-Excellent apartment, spacious, it has everything you need and more (household appliances, cleaning products, kitchen utensils...etc)
-Not cold during the winter, but the AC is available to heat the apartment before going to sleep and in the morning.
