The location is perfect and the cost is very reasonable for the area, which is so close to everything including the museum, Tahrir square, etc. I felt safe in the area as a single female. The hotel rooms are in a bank/multi purpose commercial building with other offices which can be confusing to locate but the staff was very communicative. I chose the smallest room with a twin bed, I wish I had opted for the bigger room. Despite that, it was still very comfortable and clean. Saif, Farid, and Mohammed, (the brothers) were phenomenal. Communication was excellent and they were truly so kind, sweet, attentive, and caring. For them alone, I would book again!

It is quite large and needs a couple of hours.
It is quite large and needs a couple of hours. Do't spend so much time downstairs that you are too tired to see upstairs, which is very interesting. The museum itself is a bit old and some things have already been taken to the new museum which should be opening in Giza next year. You will be approached by guides who want to show you round. I would say that you don't really need one the first time you go. I would look around first and then, if you want to know more then hire one. Some guides are good but others do not tell you much more than what you can read for yourself. Remember to haggle as they will start high

Try your best to avoid during peak hours when you have tourist coming in you'll be stuck to have a look at the amazing artificial they show on display. Get your self a guide as the information written before the exhibit does little justice for the artifact your looking at. A Good Egyptologist will not only you it's importance but give you alot of back story and guide you which exhibits to taken in and which ones cam he given a miss

If you are interested in History, even a little bit of it, take a guide from the entrance of the museum. Some of the main things will be covered by them and you can roam freely looking at things afterwards

See it whilst you can.
See it whilst you can. One of the world's great museums, we visited four times and once you get to know it, it's wonderful. It's also frustrating, quirky, and old fashioned - but that's part of the charm. Worth digging into properly.

Just visiting the Tuthankhamon treasures is worth a visit to this museum. Absolutely breathtaking. You will also find many treasures, sculptures, canopic vases and furniture that would be stored inside the burial chambers of the pharaohs.

Can it pass any standards of Museum?
Can it pass any standards of Museum? It has most precious collection in the world. What does the staff do if they cannot even provide labels to artifacts ? You feel like crying looking at it not because it is overstuffed but because it shows no one cares about heritage including the the whole ministry of of Antiquities. They have made the case of return of antiquities to country of origin very weak. Will I come again ,NEVER.

The location to the Egyptian Museum and the Metro Line to the Coptic Quarter is a ten-minute-walk.
Staff at reception and housekeeping ladies are freindly and helpful.
Modest breakfast.
Located across the street from the Egyptian museum, the location serves as a great way to explore a busy part of the city. The hotel staff is very friendly, offering advice on different attractions, including some not-so-common ones that tourists may sometimes miss, as well as food recommendations nearby.
Despite heavy, loud traffic outside, the hotel does a great job at blocking out most of the noise.
Very convenient location across from the Egyptian museum. Large room with refrigerator, nice hardwood floors and very comfortable bed!
Staff were great!
I would recommend this hotel!
The hotel was clean, with friendly staff, fantastic traditional breakfast, close to pyramids and the egyptian museum. A lovely view from the balconies and terrace at the top, air conditioning and close to lots of shops and places to eat.
The staff was amazing. They helped us with getting to and from the airport, find restaurants, feel safe, and even welcomed us with coffee.
The location is very convenient. Only a five minute walk from the Egyptian museum, and there were many restaurants nearby.
