We have been many times in Lydia hotel. Unfortunately, this time the service was not as it used to be. To start with something positive: The staff was mostly very friendly. And also the lobby area is really nice.

Excellent for families with little kids. Spa area is very warm and there are lots of different saunas. Plus points for the spa area having not only 2 pools for babies but also one large 75cm deep pool for bigger kids to practice swimming safely. It’s also convenient that you can go to grocery stores or restaurants in the same building without having to step outside. Staff is very well trained so the service and communication was better than in most Estonian hotels/restaurants. Breakfast selection was small but that was not an issue as it still had everything one would need and the quality of food was also much better than in other Estonian spas.
Hotel Sophia is located in an upcoming neighborhood where the Tartu University of Science and Technology, as well as hospital are within a short walk away.
