We have been many times in Lydia hotel. Unfortunately, this time the service was not as it used to be. To start with something positive: The staff was mostly very friendly. And also the lobby area is really nice.

The hotel is located very centrally in Tartu - a short walk away from anywhere! The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast served in the hotel is incredibly varied - with options ranging from standard breakfast fare to roast pork, fresh waffles and ice-cream, and even beer and prosecco.

An excellent location with a large-window view of the park you walk across (only a few minutes) to get to the wonderful old town. The room was large, comfortable and pleasant, the breakfast was absolutely superb, and the staff on the desk friendly and helpful. If anyone reading this is not sure about visiting Tartu, you shouldn't think twice! In many ways we preferred it to Tallinn, for things to see and do, for walking and - dare I say it - for charm also, as it's full of beautiful streets and buildings but not full of tourists or souvenir shops, it's more real!
