Beautiful and fun, but beware walking alone at night to/from the street itself, especially if there are no crowds and good lighting. I was choked to unconsciousness from behind by a sneaky mugger less than 1 block away, between here and Plaza Santa Domingo.

The hostel was great. An old colonial house refurbished with big rooms, super clean and the service was excellent. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the place is great just around the corner having calle de la Ronda.
Nice comfortable room next to La Ronda and historic center. The host is super helpful and nice. For 3usd you get a big breakfast with eggs, fruits, 2 croissants, marmelade, yoghurt and coffee. Excellent value for price.
It is not far from La Ronda and the Cathedral is beautiful to visit. Local bus/tramway is not too far. Close to several museums also,

Wonderful old hotel, originally a manor house. Fantastic staff, well maintained, lots of interesting stuff to look at everywhere, a great breakfast. A 1 minute walk from La Ronda, 8 minutes from the Plaza Grande. The perfect place to stay in Quito. Our room and bed were huge. Great value for money.
Location is great, under el Pencillo, next to La Ronda, on a lovely plaza, easy walk around historic centre. Huge room with balcony on the plaza, good bathroom, free hot and cold water in reception.
The lady who owns the appartment is very friendly and helpfull. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, with everything that you could want to feel like home. We could also find usefull informations for tourists availible in the living room. The appartment is very close to La Ronda where you can find many restaurants. I truly recommend!
Really nice place very close to La Ronda and the city centre. The people at the reception are super helpful and super nice too. The bus to the bus terminal leaves basically in front of the hostel. The wifi is also working rather well and the place was very clean. The location also seemed very safe to me though going out alone at night is dangerous everywhere in South America so just do not do that and you'll be fine.
The place was safer than my own home, we felt very welcomed. Marisol, the host, was always on the phone ready to help with anything. The place was spotless and extremely practical with all necessary appliances and utensils. It is just a one minite walk from La Ronda and the Old town sights.

Comfortable, clean rooms with balconies overlooking Plaza Santo Domingo. Excellent service with friendly and accommodating staff. The property is well maintained with attention to detail and beautiful plants throughout. Convenient location in Centro Histórico walking distance from sights and shopping and only one block from the restaurants and bars of La Ronda. It is also a very safe hotel with strong security measures.
