Place is really beautiful, nice vibe, the staff is super friendly and helpful (especially Carlos and Gael, they were fantastic). The room is simple but it is clean and with the minimum necessities. The food exceeded all our expectations. It was exceptional (it takes a really long time to get the meals after you order, so I wouldn’t recommend if you are in a hurry, but it tastes delicious so I would still definitely recommend. Also a great place for families

We’ve had amazing six days at Kibayo. The room is spacious and super clean. Every morning we had a lovely healthy (sometimes hard to find in the Dominican Republic) breakfast in the beautiful garden. The owners are amazing; inspiring, nice and warm people. Would definitely recommend this beautiful place!

Our favorite stay in the DR by far! Property is gorgeous and the staff and guests are both laid back and friendly. Spring for a massage as they are affordable and excellent. Food was great with many options for varied diets. I don’t drink alcohol and really appreciated the delicious mocktail menu.
We are a married couple traveling without our kids, but the facility is child- and baby-friendly and all children we saw there were remarkably well-behaved.
Our cabana was gorgeous with a great mattress. We loved lazing on the porch with its comfy hammock. We didn’t spend time at the pool with the ocean right there, but it was clean and a comfortable temperature.
The property arranged multiple drivers for us, and they were extremely punctual (even in the very early morning) and well worth the cost. Maximo drove us to the waterfalls and dropped us at our next hotel in Puerto Plata afterward, and he was great.

We are very experienced traveller around the world. This is a really gem 10/10 resort for adults. Ocean view, quiet, sophisticated. No need to even try other restaurants in Cabarete - the food was extraordinary delicious with reasonable price, accompanied high quality live music, of which we heard saxophone player and a singer.
Staff was very helpful and friendly, housekeeping very good, everything went smoothly. The garden was exceptionally taken care with different plants and grass.Oval shaped pool was deep enough to swim, with ocean view. You can fall asleep listening the vawes of Atlantic Ocean. Thank you for this memorable vacation!

I loved Encuentro Beach.
I loved Encuentro Beach. It was a smaller quieter beach where you could rent surf boards and get surfing lessons. There were also two nice places on the beach to have drinks, fresh food, fresh smoothies, coffee and treats. Nice place to hang out with tables, chairs and hammocks under a shaded roof. We visited there several times and certainly hope to return there again next year.

If you want to surf, the location is great. Close to Encuentro Beach, the place to be for surfing. Beautiful garden, relaxing vibes. Foodpark close within walking distance.
The breakfast is really good! The staff is very thoughtful, and it feels like a family. Beautiful facilities and amazing location close to Encuentro beach.
Really amazing staff who make you feel so welcome and want to make sure you have a great stay and that you’re comfortable. Special thanks to Juan Carlos who is super helpful and cheerful always. This place just has such a great vibe because of its people who work there. Food is delicious. Rooms are very clean and comfy. The property is very stylish and well taken care of. Yoga and Bachata classes are available for free. Few minutes walk to Encuentro Beach, perfect if you like to surf.
Location is very good if you want to surf in Encuentro beach. Also, being on the main street makes it very easy to catch public transportation (Guaguas, motochonchos, carritos publicos, they all pass in front of the structure door every 5 minutes): in this way, you can get to Sosua, Puerto Plata, Cabarete, Rio San Juan in a very straightforward way.
Staff is always nice, smiley and available at all time.
The room has the basic comfort (+ a very useful mosquito net, I was not bothered by mosquitos at all!)
The hotel is just beautiful! You can walk out straight into a quiet beach or walk the trails along the coast. There is a surf rental shop/school and cafe about 15 minutes away at Encuentro beach which is fantastic. Easy trip into Cabrete, or make use of the local restaurants in Perla Marina.
There are lots of friendly animals (Musha the dog ♥️) and spots to hang out at the hotel.
The staff really helped us with our travel options despite the language barrier!
