We took a chance and showed up a little early to see if our rooms were ready because we drove through snow and rain to get there. One of the rooms was ready but ours was not so they upgraded our room to a suite for free which was very kind of him to do. Let me tell you, when I walked into that room and saw the view, I was more than pleased and super excited. We got settled in then meet up with family in the evening for food and drinks and it was all very good. Breakfast was fantastic as well. Everyone we encountered there was so nice and friendly I would definitely stay there again.

Zugspitze railway
Germany’s highest mountain is a natural lookout spot with jaw-dropping views of 400 peaks across four countries. A cable car and various hiking routes mean the Zugspitze’s summit is accessible for all skill levels, with mountain huts providing basic accommodations along the way. If the ascent sounds too much like hard work, why not take the cable car up and hike back down?
