Train from Berlin-love the German trains!
1. location: close to old town and sites. within walking distance.
2. room-second floor, lift, modern and very comfortable, excellent bathroom and beds very comfortable.
3. roof top bar-swanky and fun, pricey.
4. breakfast-excellent, included in the price.

recommend dinner at Auerbachs Keller-gotta do it-an absolute ton of food though-could easily split an entre. Gao Vegan Restaurant right by the hotel was AMAZING. Also loved Goldhopfen for a late night beer. rent electric bikes at Cycle Leipzig and check out Monument to the Battle of Nations and then bike around the Markkleeberg lake.
Next stop: train to Frankfurt for a couple of days and then back to the USA
