This was a lovely spot especially for watching the clock...
This was a lovely spot especially for watching the clock tower but is very crowded during the day but is especially lovely at night. Walks to all the historical spots is easy from here and there are plenty of places to eat and the Ratskeller has an atmosphere all of its own. The shops are luxury items but the local market is great.

It is very beautiful with all the churches and old buildings...
It is very beautiful with all the churches and old buildings. We spent a lot of time there. The clock with the movement of figures only goes off at 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm. People fill in quickly, so go early. We planned a lunch and sat at the outdoor cafe.

Love watching the beautiful tower.
Love watching the beautiful tower. The Christmas market was really nice and there are plenty of food and drink options. What surprised me was that this is a main tourist area yet none of the signs were in anything but German. We didn’t order food or drink because we didn’t know what it was. The same with maps for the area. It’s hard to navigate.

Really enjoy Marienplatz.
Really enjoy Marienplatz. Would recommend taking the lift up the Bell Tower to get a view of the city centre. Right opposite the City Hall they also have a huge bakery - recommend getting the giant pretzel. Also if you walk away from Marienplatz with the City Hall on your right, there is also a lovely souvenir shop with authentic wooden cuckoo clocks and Christmas decorations inside. Little gem. And don't forget to visit the very expensive chocolate shop called Ladarach - worth every penny. Recommend the blueberry and raspberry chocolate tray x

Legendary spot in Munich and a must when visiting.
Legendary spot in Munich and a must when visiting. We had an unfortunate experience at the first restaurant we chose with an extremely rude waitress but we soon forgot about it when we moved on to the next restaurant, where we were well looked after. The walking tours in Munich start here and I would advise anyone who wants to get a taste of this fabulous city, especially if on a short stay, to book a tour.

One of the only original bits of the city.
One of the only original bits of the city. Chillingly the Town Hall and Cathedral were left standing to guide the bombers to other targets. How many beautiful building would have been left if it were not for the war ... what a waste. Much of the city has been reconstructed including some of Marienplatz which is the heart of the city and where many tours start.
We had a large apartment which was more than enough for 5 persons. Large Kitchen well equipted. Lots of balcony space with a BBQ. The price was good value for money. The location was not so sexy, but we knew that as we looked for an affordable place not to far off the center of Munich. Within 30 minutes you are in Marienplatz through the excellent Munich public transport, for which you can get tickets online on your phone.
Also the Indian restaurant next door in the same building is a good tip to go to!
The hotel is located in a quiet street in the suburb of Lehel, within walking distance to the centre of Munich (Marienplatz). Our room was elegantly furnished and the beds comfortable. There is a a stylish and comfortable guest lounge where we enjoyed a glass of wine at the end of the day. Staff at Reception and elsewhere were friendly and very helpful. The inviting breakfast buffet provided everything we would want for a good start to the day.
We were looking for an affordable but good accommodation in Munich at a walking distance from the center and this hotel satisfied our expectations . It is a clean hotel, quite cozy, with friendly and helpful staff, more or less 30 minutes walking from Marienplatz. The breakfast was good. We had a very small but modern bathroom, it looked recently renovated . The room was a bit small, but sufficient for our needs.
Apartment was large and very close to the main train station and Marienplatz and other locations around Munich
Area was a bit dodgy and street was noisy at night
There had been smokers in the room before us which is hard for non-smokers
I thought it was fairly expensive but I think that it was reasonable for Munich and being so close
Didn’t have bag storage but there was some close by
The location of the hotel is excellent, with the metro and tram very close, as well as several pharmacies, stores, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. You can reach Marienplatz with a walk of approximately 7 minutes.
The appartments are perfect, very comfort!
Highly recommended! Next time we’re in Munich, we plan to stay here again!!!
Well located, with public transport links right next to/ nearby that'll take you to Marienplatz/ Munich Hauptbahnhof in half an hour. Room was spacious and exceptionally well-cleaned. Had all the amenities you'd expect of a hotel room. Exceptionally well-priced given I stayed on NYE. Perfect for any short-stay in Munich where luxury isn't an expectation.
We were greeted by the owner of the hotel - a polite and discreet man. The place was according to our expectations. The apartment is accessible by elevator. It has two separate bedrooms, a living room with a minimalist equipped kitchen, a bathroom with plenty of towels and free parking right in front of the hotel. Clean and pleasant place! The metro station is 250 meters away, from where you can quickly get to Odeonsplatz or Marienplatz. Recommend!
I cannot fault this hotel. The staff were lovely, the room actually looked like the pictures and it was extremely clean. It was nice and close to a train station which went directly into marienplatz, sendlinger tor and the zoo. We will happily stay here again if we are in munich.
We liked the location of the hotel as it was near the Marienplatz Christmas market but unfortunately, 2 taxis that we took from the train station did not know how to get us to the doorstep of the hotel. Instead they dropped us off 100 meters away with 10 luggages saying there is no car access to the hotel. My huisband was with my son and I was with my daughter in 2 separate taxis and BOTH taximen didn't know how to get to the hotel. It was a cold night and we had just travelled 7 hours to get to Munich.
The hotel is a short 5 minute walk to Munich’s main train station and a 20 minute walk to the Marienplatz. The rooms were clean and comfortable and good value. The breakfast was great and the breakfast staff were very attentive to their customers. Check-in and check-out was a breeze and the front desk staff were very helpful
