Allure Hotel Prague, hotel in Prague

Ideally located in the centre of Prague, Allure Hotel Prague offers air-conditioned rooms, a terrace, free WiFi and a bar. This 4-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and a concierge service.

The hotel is situated in the old city and is a short 7-10 minute walk to the astronomical clock. The Katr restaurant across from the hotel serves local cuisine and attracts locals (always a good sign), and there is also a lovely coffee shop, Elvira. At check-in we were warmly greeted by staff, offered a complimentary drink, a map of the city and information about tours. The hotel interior is bright, airy and inviting. The breakfast area in the basement is cosy and a wide selection is available and well presented. The rooms and en-suites are well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. There is ample space and storage and the layout offers maximum privacy and minimum noise pollution. During our short 2 night stay we approached reception for an umbrella as it was raining, for a toothbrush, and to call a taxi for us. Anything we asked for, they were happy to oblige.

Old Town Square

This expanse of well-trodden cobbles has been the heart of Prague for centuries. With Christmas Markets in the winter and street bands in the summer, the square is alive with tourists and locals bustling to and fro. Watching over the scenes below are the Old Town Hall tower, the spires of the imposing Týn Church, and the surrounding patchwork of colourful facades.

Old Town in general is very commercialized.

Old Town in general is very commercialized. Plenty of U.S. chains throughout the area--MacDonalds, KFC, Starbucks etc. Very crowded. Restaurants in this area are not a good deal due to it being geared to tourists. To get an idea of the real Prague where locals hang out, definitely do not expect it in this area. Cross the river into the Mala Strana, and you suddenly see why people actually like Prague so much.

The Old Town Square is fascinating.

The Old Town Square is fascinating. We stayed at The Cube - about 300-500 metres from the square, we stayed 5 days and I could go back for another month and still not see everything. Prague is the most fantastic city. I loved it. So much to see. The food is delicious. People are friendly and fantastic. I walked about 15 km a day, and it felt like nothing. Book some tours with local guides.

Do your research about the buildings & sights around the old town and the square. The astronomical clock is a must, get there about 5 minutes before turn of the hour. We got there at 12pm and the sounds of the bells ringing at the church across the square made for a great video as the 12 apostles come out and move around the clock.

Stayed within about 50m of Old town Square Our apartment was facing into a courtyard at the rear of the building this proved to be a good thing. As Old town square is very very busy 24/7, esp on weekends when a huge influx of tourists arrive

Huge, lovely apartment. Lots of beds and bedrooms. We were travelling with our adult children and their partners and the apartment worked well. Good location, close to Old Town Square and plenty of restaurants around. We could mostly get around by walking. Liked there were 2 bathrooms and used the washing machine and dishwasher. Had a lift.

    - Location is superb, 6 mins walk to Charles Bridge and 4 mins walk to Astronomical Clock / Old Town Square - We were allowed early check-in kindly by them, and all details as to how to enter the apartment were emailed and texted on WhatsApp - Africa apartment is on floor 3, no lift, so bit of a struggle to get over there with luggage. - Toiletries were good, bed linen & towels clean. - large sized 2 bedrooms, living room & 2 bathrooms. loved the stay.

Allure Hotel Prague is a beautiful, clean, and quiet hotel close to Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock, and luxury shopping street Pařížská. However, what truly made our experience stand out was the exceptional staff and attention to minor details.. Upon booking confirmation, we received a thoughtful message inquiring about any special requirements or dietary preferences. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with a smile from the staff and complimentary welcome drink... In short a home away from home .. Highly recommended..

Eliska was so helpful, the location is superb, there were fresh flowers on arrival which was so unexpected and lovely. It rained the whole time we were in Prague so we really appreciated being 5 minutes walk from everywhere - the metro, the old town square and clock and Charles Bridge. The bed is very comfy and great kitchen and bathroom facilities. It is a beautiful apartment with luxurious feeling furnishings and details. It's nice just having a cup of tea and watching the square from your apartment window.

The location of the property is excellent, overlooking old town square. The rooms were large and very clean. The facilities are very good, with a shared kitchen and shared laundry facilities. The staff are excellent and I would really like to thank them for everything during our visit. There is no lift in the property and so we needed to climb 4 flights of stairs each day. One of the staff members carried our suitcases up and then down on our departure. There are no staff on site, they come from the nearby Emblem Hotel.
