Old Town Square
This expanse of well-trodden cobbles has been the heart of Prague for centuries. With Christmas Markets in the winter and street bands in the summer, the square is alive with tourists and locals bustling to and fro. Watching over the scenes below are the Old Town Hall tower, the spires of the imposing Týn Church, and the surrounding patchwork of colourful facades.

Where many beautiful historic buildings are.
Where many beautiful historic buildings are. It’s lively and entertaining. The Astronomical Clock is beautiful as well as the Church Lady before Tyn.
Restaurants on square are good but much pricier due to the location.. a drink definitely worth it to take in the views.

Old Town in general is very commercialized.
Old Town in general is very commercialized. Plenty of U.S. chains throughout the area--MacDonalds, KFC, Starbucks etc. Very crowded. Restaurants in this area are not a good deal due to it being geared to tourists. To get an idea of the real Prague where locals hang out, definitely do not expect it in this area. Cross the river into the Mala Strana, and you suddenly see why people actually like Prague so much.

The Old Town Square is fascinating.
The Old Town Square is fascinating. We stayed at The Cube - about 300-500 metres from the square, we stayed 5 days and I could go back for another month and still not see everything. Prague is the most fantastic city. I loved it. So much to see. The food is delicious. People are friendly and fantastic. I walked about 15 km a day, and it felt like nothing. Book some tours with local guides.

Do your research about the buildings & sights around the old town and the square. The astronomical clock is a must, get there about 5 minutes before turn of the hour. We got there at 12pm and the sounds of the bells ringing at the church across the square made for a great video as the 12 apostles come out and move around the clock.

This was one of my favorite places on earth, now absolutely flooded with shallow-minded tourists moving like robots from one selfie spot to another.
Avoid high season and high time. At night, avoid it because of the roving bands of drunk guys in their twenties who think Prague is one big beer hall.
I adore this cultured city. The tourists are wrecking the experience. Come off season and at inconvenient times like early morning to see what we all loved about it. But if history and architecture and sobriety mean nothing to you, please stay away.

While it's an amazing a lively place, avoid eating directly in the middle of it. It's a tourist trap, you'll be pushed to leave a tip, or even worse, have it on the bill as "service fee".
This hotel was warm, welcoming and comfortable. Our room was very spacious with a good sized bathroom, plenty of wardrobe space and hangers and a very comfortable bed. The reception staff gave us a warm welcome on arrival, in fact the staff in general were helpful. There was a good breakfast selection including cold meats, cheese and pastries, along with a small selection of hot food. The hotel is in a superb central position a very short walk from the main old town square and the river. Overall would highly recommend this hotel.
As I understand, Old Town Square Apartments have many apartments across the city, personally, the apartment I was allocated was spacious and comfortable with its own private terrace.
The room was comfortable, sofa, bed, smart TV, I had everything I needed for the relaxing trip I had planned.
The apartments have a WhatsApp number which you can contact until midnight, they respond quickly to enquiries and we’re very helpful
Absolutely gorgeous apartment, with everything you need for a stay. There are several grocery shops nearby to get coffee and milk etc from, and it is a stones throw from the old town square.
Gorgeous and huge place, with plenty of room.
Fantastic hotel. Very clean (like the rest of the Czech Republic) and staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location in the old town, close to old town square and Wenceslas square.
The hotel is in a great location, very close to Prague’s Old Town Square, within walking distance. The area is lively, and it’s also conveniently near public transport and metro stations.
The hotel is on a very quiet, small street, just a few minutes' walk from the Old Town Square. I’ve attached a picture of the view from our room. The staff is fantastic; their hospitality made us feel as if we were in a movie.
Great location, helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms. The hotel bar was nice and very reasonably priced. Short walk to the old town square maybe 5-10mins. Close enough but not so close that the hotel was noisy. Unfortunately we didn't realise how close it was until a couple of days in. Theres great places to eat nearby and a lidl 2 mins away if you want to get some bottles of water and snacks for days out.
