FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale façade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Prague Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city centre after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

A beautiful city with a wonderful old town and river scenery, full of history and culture to immerse yourself and learn. A little bit expensive especially when compared to other Central European destinations such as Warsaw but still a great place to experience Europe (castles, palaces, historic centres, beer etc) at a cheaper price than conventional Western destinations such as London, Paris, Rome etc.

Prague is one of the cities that should be on everyone's bucket list. It is clean and the history and things to do and see is unbeatable. Public transport is excellent and there are many restaurants, pubs, cafés, street food etc. We stayed in hotels for the first two days, then took a flixbus to Karlovy Vary for three nights stay. Our last night was in the apartment in Prague again. You need at least 3 nights in Prague to not miss out on anything. Karlovy Vary is also a very beautiful SPA Town with many attractions as well as the city's famous film Festivals. It makes up for bad accommodation booked when you need to save money when traveling with family.

Prague is an absolutely beautiful city, with stunning antique buildings and charm around every corner. The transportation system—trams, buses, and the metro—was incredibly efficient, making it easy to reach any destination quickly. A 24-hour day ticket costs just 120 CZK (€4.80), which is fantastic value, especially since it also covers travel to and from the airport. Purchasing tickets was a breeze, thanks to the vending machines available at every metro station. Despite being filled with tourists, the city remains impressively clean. Streets are cleaned daily, which was quite a pleasant surprise. While there are plenty of food options, some restaurants are a bit overpriced and not always worth it. I highly recommend visiting the bistro diagonally opposite the Astronomical Clock, as well as the restaurant LOKAL Dlouháá, both offering great value for money. I also had a great experience at VENUE, a fantastic brunch spot with delicious meals that were worth the money. For affordable souvenirs, head to the Havelské Tržiště market. And of course, don’t leave without trying Czech beer—it’s a must!

Excellent location at the National Museum next to two metro lines (metro station is just in front of the hotel) and in a walking distance from Old Town square and other city centre attraction points. I arrived late and saw how busy and loud it was outside at the Wenceslas square, but in my room which was facing the square I did not hear any noise from outside. The room was comfortable, well-eqipped, with interesting design. Personnel was very nice and helpful.

The location is great, you can walk Old Town Square from the hotel. The room is quite large and clean. If you are obsessed with cleanliness, you can choose this hotel comfortably. There is no reception so you can take your hotel key automatically, so I didn't wait for check-in. You can put your baggage directly and start enjoying the city. This hotel will be my choice when I go to Prague again.
