great location just over the charles bridge, so away from the main town. Every day they served a little light lunch free of charge which included soups and sandwiches, teas and coffee, was a nice little touch. Staff were really friendly and a lovely little courtyard outside the hotel with a few bars and restaurants.

Charles Bridge
This faithful friend has spanned the watery divide between the Old Town and Malá Strana for over 600 years. The stream of footsteps on the cobbles sounds out a restless beat, accompanying the myriad street musicians and performers. Bronze statues stand watch over the crowd, giving an eternal sense of grandeur to this most majestic of Prague’s bridges.

This stunning bridge is pictureseque and like something from a postcard. However, especially on the weekends, it is absolutely swarming with tourists at all hours of the day and night, and so I would recommend getting there early in the morning (on a weekday) to maximise your visit. Otherwise, it's really hard to appreciate the architecture and history, and it is very busy with tourist-based vendors.

Amazing view and the way from the Narodni museum to the bridge is wonderful by walk. You get to see and experience different shops, eateries etc. It was raining when we were there so we didn't get to stay long on the bridge itself. But worth visiting.

Beautiful fantastic historical journey across the bridge. Do some research on the statues you will see before you go. We went up to the castle first then walked down to Charles Bridge and crossing into the Old Town area.

Bustling in the afternoon, but still a wonderful walk across this amazing bridge where artists line the streets between statues of old. And the views of the city are breathtaking. Early in the day would be the least traveled times for less traffic, but any time of the day is still work the stroll.

We were so concerned about the crowds from watching travel blogs but it was fine. Leave the bridge and stroll down to the Lennon wall. It was a quiet reprieve and peaceful setting. Loved the artists set up along the bridge and bought a lovely watercolor of the city to enjoy for years to come.

Hebrew writing on the cross was a punishment for the jews...
Hebrew writing on the cross was a punishment for the jews for false allegations of blasphemy. Small plaque near the floor give details although the wording on English plaque is milder then the one in hebrew. City seem embarrassed of past crimes.
Perfect location, as close as you can get to the city center and the Charles bridge, with minimal tourist crowds. A very quiet courtyard in a minimal traffic street, it was safe and relaxing. The apartment was very cosy, modern and clean, and had all the needed utilities. Comfy beds as well as spacious kitchen and bathroom. Communication, check-in and out was very easy and convenient. Minimarkets and main public transport lines are a few minutes by foot.
The apartment was great! Very big spacious and a great view on the river. Space for all of us and comfortable sofas and beds. Walking distance from the majority of the attractions in the city center. Basically a stone throw from the most famous Charles bridge.
I liked absolutely everything about this hotel. Excellent location. Very quiet. Two minutes walk from Charles Bridge. No crowds of tourists, and bars and restaurants are nearby but do not disturb with noise at all. Very clean. Excellent and varied breakfast and of course very polite and professional staff. I recommend it with pleasure. And as an example:My friend had a birthday and the hotel sent a bottle of wonderful wine.It was very, very nice.I have been to Prague 4 times already and intend to stay only there now.
Very nice old hotel at a great location with an amazing view, we could look directly at Charles Bridge from our window. They also gave us a voucher for a great Czech cuisine restaurant in the vicinity.
Traditional features including the paintings, comfort of the bed and size of rooms. Perfect location in Lesser town - but don’t be fooled by the name as the hotel is a very short walk from Charles Bridge with great restaurants and museums around
It’s a stunning hotel, so historque and in the perfect place. Outside of the hotel it is peaceful and then you go to Charles bridge and it’s busy. Great location
This hotel is in a very good location. It's about a 8-10 minute walk from the Charles bridge, on a lovely street with a few nice restaurants and shops along the way. It wasn't a noisy road though.
What a find! The hotel is in a fab location, minutes from Charles bridge. It’s possibly the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed & the room was made up daily. Bed comfortable, great quality bedding, apartment nice & warm. Huge shower room with underfloor heating & good quality toiletries. Couple of lovely cafes & restaurants nearby. Great value. We will definitely be back.
The location is excellent! Steps outside of the hostel is the Charles Bridge you can walk to the tour spot by walking. I booked the female dormitory which is very good for having the beds individually not the bucks bed. It is very good to have a bathroom inside the room.

Be prepared to wander off the beaten track.
Be prepared to wander off the beaten track. There are lovely gardens in Mala Strana and around the castle which are usually very peaceful. Petrin Hill is great for walking - it is steep, but there is a great funicular railway if you don't fancy the climb. The view rom here is lovely - and also from Letna Park, by the giant metronome. Stromovka is another nice park where you won't be tripping over other tourists and the area around Vysehrad tends to be quiet too. Prague Castle opens quite early and a ticket will give you entry on 2 days. Buy your ticket early to avoid the queues and give you time to see around everything. If you are an early riser, head to Charles Bridge before 10am to avoid the crowds. May is a great time to visit Prague. It is usually sunny, the cherry blossom is out and there are fewer tourists than in the summer. Avoid July and August when it is hot and crowded if you can.

Leave the tourist areas!
Leave the tourist areas! Get away from Charles Bridge and Old Town, find a little pub tucked away. Take the tram somewhere and go wandering. If you are in Old Town, check out the Koruna cafeteria (next to Hooters) for some cheap, delicious authentic Czech cuisine. It's where the locals go when they have to be in Old Town.
