I would say our stay at Ouril Hotel Águeda was average but not bad. We managed to book it at the last minute due to an issue with our original reservation at another place, and it turned out to be a decent choice. The location is great, just a 2-minute walk from a nice beach where you can swim or kite surf, and it's also close to the city center. The hotel has a gym on the top floor, though I didn’t get the chance to check it out. Breakfast was pretty standard, but it was sufficient to keep us from going hungry. Our room felt a bit dated with some prints on the walls, but it was clean, and we enjoyed a nice sea view from our tiny balcony. The bed was quite spacious—definitely king size. Overall, it met our needs for a last-minute stay!

I loved everything about this place! The colour scheme - very relaxing, beautiful murals and paintings throughout, the extensive library and sitting out areas- both covered and uncovered, rope swings for chilling, dining area spectacular- a beautiful vibe to it, staff really friendly, helpful, generous and always go above and beyond ( it was a lovely touch that they put the ‘lion and unicorn’ bath towel out for me, knowing that it’s the same logo on my British passport! If you are looking for an authentic stay in Sal Rei and you are interested in experiencing Boa Vista's lifestyle, I highly recommend staying in Ka-Bela. The owners are the sweetest people who will do their best to make their guests happy. They live in the same building so check in is very easy. They were always there to answer any of my questions. The apartment had all I needed. It was clean and quiet. It's located close to the city centre (5 min walking distance) and just around the corner from Praia de Cabral - a beautiful natural beach.
