Perfect location on Shamian island which is one of must visit place itself. 10 min walk to Shangxiajiu pedestrian street for shopping, 15-20 min walk to Old Town and Moon Bridge. Riverside just 5 min with restaurants. The hotel itself was colonial style, nice and decent, smelled for candy. The bed was comfy, service was great and proactive. The hotel solved quickly the issue with barking dog next room! I like the small feature in the room- going to toilet during a night the small ambient light was automatically turned near floor, nice.

The hotel located just next to the metro station. There is a big shopping mall opposite the hotel. Just a short walk to shamian island where there are also many nice restaurants. The room we stayed is not big, but very clean. The personell is very friendly and helpful.
Very big, well equipped and comfortable room, internet worked very well, the location is convenient near a metro station and walking distance from Shamian Island, there are many shops and restaurant right around the hotel (and a cute neighbourhood along the river branch), and the staff was friendly and helpful.
A regular stop when visiting Guanzhou. As always, a great stay - impeccable service, spacious comfortable rooms, in a great location - Shamian Island, a most beautiful part of the city.
Located in the scenic Shamian Island at the heart of Guangzhou old town - former concessions given to France and the UK, hence surrounded by nineteenth century European-style buildings, the neighbourhood is great for a walk and even better at night after everything is lit up (but it's sometimes crowded with people taking photos during daytime). The hotel itself is state of the art too with top class in-house restaurants. Dined at Jade River and had yum cha (morning tea in local Cantonese) at Hongtu Hall, both of which were exceptional.
My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great with a big variety of food. Location was great, close to Metro, Shamian Island and a shopping mall with lots of different restaurants
Beautifully renovated historic hotel right on Shamian Island, there's even a little museum with old artifacts and photos of the place. The room i stayed in was comfortable and atmospheric. The rooftop pool is kinda fun, given the views, though not especially large and no towels that i could see. No worries though, I'll gladly recommend this place, and give a big thanks to the very helpful staff at reception, who helped me make train bookings and other things.
The hotel doesn't look very attractive from the outsiide, and they wholesalefish markett is literally next door. But once you get past that, this is a nice place with a great location just off Shamian Island. Some rooms have no windows, but the design is very cool, staff are helpful and the breakfast spread is very impressive !
It's located at the city centre, can easily access a lot of tourist places like Beijing road, Tianzhi port, Dafoshi, Shengxin Cathedral and 200m away from rail( Haizhu Guangchang - F exit). Shamian Island and Chan clan ancestral hall is also 4-5 stations away from the hotel.
The hotel provide free laundry room where you can wash, dry and iron.
