The bed were very comfortable and the aircon didn’t cause my allergies to flare up - first time in China! Our room was facing an inner courtyard so we didn’t have any issues with late night singers or morning dancing on the street across the road from the hotel. Jenny from the reception contacted me prior to our arrival and organised airport pick up and tours. She was responsive and spoke great English, she is fantastic. The rest of the hotel staff were also very helpful despite the language barrier and gave us little gift, such a nice touch.

The best staff I have ever met: so nice and kind, so helpful and they speak English. Before we came, they provided very detailed information about excursions which they can organize. We booked a trip to the Rice Terrace and Li-river cruise to Yangsho (I can recommend both, it's very beautiful places!). We didn't have to worry about organisational details, we were told where, when and how we should go and we able to enjoy the trips. Another small but nice touch: during check-in, the air conditioning was turned on in our room, so once all the formalities were completed, the room was pleasantly cool - very pleasant after the afternoon hit. They also gave us a map of the city, showed us interesting places and recommended places to eat. The room itself was big and clean with a panoramic window where you can sit and enjoy tea using the provided Chinese tea-set.
The hotel restaurant is located on the fifth floor and has an incredible view of the river and mountains.
Also, outside of the room there is a terrace where you can air and dry clothes.
The hotel is decorated in a traditional style, but at the same time it is equipped with all modern amenities and is very comfortable.
Location is very good: close enough to walk to many different points of interest and food-street.

The room was very spacious, nicely furnished and with a good view of the river, town and hills.
The ladies running the hotel were very attentive about providing what we would like for breakfast (within the local food scope … but could specify the kind of fruit, the time etc).
It was convenient to have access to a washing machine for clothes.
The location walking distance (or 9 Yuan DiDi) to the centre was good.
Just be aware that “Villa hotel” means it is a townhouse converted into a small boutique hotel, family run. Not an international chain. This is what we wanted.

Good location within walking distance of Elephant Trunk Park and Seven Star Park. Very helpful staff that even recommended the transport to take on my next journey and even walked me to a nearby restaurant to have Guilin rice noodles. The staffs at the hostel even invited me to join for food and drinks, very friendly.
The location is very good. It's close to the center. Just a short bus ride and you can get anywhere in the city. If you want to hike up some mountains or relax at a quieter place, you can visit Seven Star Park, which is right next to the hotel. The room and bathroom were clean. The owners were very friendly and did speak english. I even had the pleasure of enjoying dinner with the owners family at Moonfestival.
Luca and his team-staff are incredibly friendly and they speak English very well (a rarity en China). They recommended us how to visit the city and the surroundings and they helped us manage the bus reservation to visit nearby areas. The room was large and clean and has everything we needed. Located in front of entrance Seven Star Park and in a street with a lot restaurants and shops.
