Nice design, clean rooms, friendly staff and very nice location - everything is close.

Beautiful and comfortable stay. Room view was literally "mountain", sea and sky per it's name. Appreciate the staff who gave us a room upgrade from our original Elegant ocean view room during check-in. There was an option to communicate with the staff via Wechat which was convenient. They were able to share additional information for reference such as breakfast timings, hotel shuttle timings to nearby locations/attractions. You could also take a short leisurely walk along the waterfront to and fro both ends as JW Marriott and Shanghaitian share the same compound. Some may find the hotel's location inaccessible as it is relatively more exclusive - convenient store is perhaps a 10 min walk away. We didn't find this to be a major issue. Considering the various sightseeing areas in the east/west areas of Sanya, dadonghai is considered central and reduced the time needed for travel.

The location is great. Just a 5 minute walk away from Dadonghai beach. Shops and restaurants just next door. A few steps back from the main road so it is quiet. Good sound proof windows. Room 405 has a decent view. The bed was comfortable. Nice toiletry kits. The first hotel room in my life with a video beamer 😀

Large bedroom. Good location near a mall and many good food options at reasonable prices.

if you think this will be a sweet, taste of the local life style, no frill type of stay. you will be in for a surprise. horrifying really, even with a great sense of humor. starting off with the facilities: first room - hot water not working, one light bulb completely broken/off, another flickering, making the room look like a bad horror flick. got a room change, second room - ac making loud noise, loud enough to clearly indicate something is very wrong. broke down entirely the 2nd day. the best part really is how the staff behaves and handles issues. until I threatened to get booking.com and local authorities involved, the host tried to say I was responsible and at fault for the ac breaking down. he quickly changed his story. every, and really I mean every interaction with staff, was a drag. they did not want to do their job, and judging by their condition, both genetic and environmental. i don't blame them. but they'll act like it's your issue. need room change? your fault. payment not processing? they call you poor in their language(i understood) and jeer, before trying for the third time and having it work. needing a lightbulb change because it's broken? the lady literally stares at the broken light, and then shouts asking which one. if you manage to find people one level lower, you just might be robbed on sight.

Very convenient access to Sanya, 10min Taxi drive to one of the main night markets. Direct access to the beach with own umbrella & sunbed area, the only one under the plan trees in all of Dadonghai.
