A true 5 star hotel. I genuinely did not expect this. There are 2 Sofitels in this complex (Renmin square and Legend). This review is for the Legend. Firstly, truly excellent staff. Everyone was professional, kind, attentive, and go the extra mile every time! A special thank you to Butler Fancy, who went above and beyond for my wife and I. The hotel is immaculate. All areas are pristine, especially the rooms. Our room was fantastic and everything was extremely clean. The exterior grounds are just as immaculate as the internal spaces. Breakfast options were great, bar has a happy hour, location was only a few minutes taxi from all the main spots.
I usually do leave reviews for hotels, but they are short and succinct. However, I felt the need to rate this property and its staff as best as I could. This was the best hotel we encountered on our China trip. It would be a pleasure to go back there!

A great hotel to base yourself in Xi’an. We walked from here to the Great Mosque, Muslim Street, the Western Gate of the Wall and there’s a beautiful Taoist Temple and little shopping alley right next to the hotel.
Make sure you choose breakfast when you book because it’s a big generous buffet.
Location is great. Walking distance to bell tower, drum tower and Muslim street. Room comes with buffer breakfast which the spread is good. Easy to find food and shopping nearby.
Location was superb; near drum/bell tower but not on the noisy/touristy end. So many street food right outside the hotel! Within walking distance to Muslim Street and less than 100m from YiZhou (if you're into hanfus dressing up).

Cute design, very convenient location as it’s close to the bell tower, drum tower, Muslim street and not far from city wall. The metro is also very conveniently located outside the hotel for easy access to the pagoda and Xian north maglev station. We also had some fun dressing up and taking photos within the hotel.
