A true 5 star hotel. I genuinely did not expect this. There are 2 Sofitels in this complex (Renmin square and Legend). This review is for the Legend. Firstly, truly excellent staff. Everyone was professional, kind, attentive, and go the extra mile every time! A special thank you to Butler Fancy, who went above and beyond for my wife and I. The hotel is immaculate. All areas are pristine, especially the rooms. Our room was fantastic and everything was extremely clean. The exterior grounds are just as immaculate as the internal spaces. Breakfast options were great, bar has a happy hour, location was only a few minutes taxi from all the main spots.
I usually do leave reviews for hotels, but they are short and succinct. However, I felt the need to rate this property and its staff as best as I could. This was the best hotel we encountered on our China trip. It would be a pleasure to go back there!

The location is amazing, easy to reach by subway and near The Bell Tower attraction. The staff can speak English. The hostel was clean and well organized. Very big and interesting lounge with snooker table.
The aesthetic and look of the hotel is very pleasant and fancy, while also being at a very good price for its value. The bell tower is about a 10 minute walk away and there are multiple shopping centres right next to the hotel which are great for lunch or dinner. The staff were all exceptionally friendly.
The hotel is very close to the Drum and Bell Tower, a great start to your Xi’an trip! It is also near Muslim Quarter and Xi’an City Wall. The property is clean, has a laundry room (for free), included breakfast which is sufficient and has a rooftop with a view of Xi’an. Really a great stay here.
The hotel was perfect choice for stay in Xian. Everything is so close. You can go anywhere by walk, Bell Tower and Great Mosque is 10 min by walk. The room is very nice, bed is comfortable and the breakfast was the best we had in China.
Room, location, breakfast. We had a good rest at this hotel and the staff are super friendly. They even explained to us the map of Xian and where the nearby famous streets. Located in a quiet street near the drum and bell tower as well as quite a few food streets.

Go to visit the Bell Tower at night and you will find streets crowed by food stands.

Perfect place in the middle of the old part of Xian. Bell Tower, Drum Tower, City Wall just few hundred meters far from the hotel. Beautiful old streets with noninterchangeable atmosphere. Especially at nights 😍! Clean nice room for really good price.
The hotel is new, modern, cozy and comfortable! It was amazing! Rooms are beautifully furnished. The area is really quiet allowing for great sleep and rest. In just a few minutes of walking you are in the heart of town near the bell tower! Friendly and helpful staff!
I stayed at Desti with my 24-year old son and we had one of the hotel twin suites with a bathroom. The room was very reasonably priced.
The staff were friendly and the location was great, near the Wall, Drum and Bell Towers.
I had the free coffee in the mornings.
There’s a good convenience store nearby that sold tofu steamed buns (I’m vegan).
This is definitely a youth hostel with young guests but I felt welcomed.
