This Swiss chalet is truly one of a kind - quietly tucked away in the hills of Wilderswil. The view from our patio was stunning. The room and bathroom was clean and very nice.
The sweet lady working at the front desk, who was also our waitress, was extremely welcoming, helpful, and went above and beyond. The food at the hotel restaurant was the best we had on our 14 day trip in Europe.
The location is right across the Wilderswil train station and the hotel provides free guest cards that allow free train access to Interlaken. It's a very convenient spot.
Reasonable walk to the Wilderswil train station. Free parking. Breakfast was adequate. View of Jungfrau. Restaurant was good. Luna Piccante pizza across the street was fast & tasty. They provided washcloths!! No a/c but they provided a fan. Staff seemed to think about what travelers needed and did their best to provide it. Basic needs met but I would probably choose to stay in the main hotel if I ever return.
The property is clean and comfortable, located in a quiet neighborhood. There were 4 or us that stayed at Laura’s Apartment, space was good. We were able to roam the place with all our suitcases open.
Location is great. Close proximity to Wilderswil Train Station (3-min walk), which has direct access going to and from Interlaken—one stop away (7-min train ride). Buses are also accessible. There are grocery stores nearby.
The breakfast is amazing, the location of the hotel as well as the staff were pretty good. The location was what made us booked the hotel. Just a little outside of Wilderswil - if you dont have a car you can walk towards the station that will bring you to major destinations like Grindelwald or Interlaken Ost.
1. It was very nice, quite and peaceful hotel in the beautiful town of wilderswill.
2. Close to the 105 bus stop which could take you to interlaken west and wilderswill train stations.
3. Amazing breakfast buffet with a lot of options.

5. They also provide you with a guest card which has some great services and discounts in it. Especially the public transport.
We loved our stay at Chalet Sunnmätteli. Barbara and Jörg were kind, helpful and welcoming. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and peaceful stay. This beautiful and cozy apartment was located in the picturesque village of Wilderswil with beautiful scenery and even cows just down the road! A great base location to explore the surrounding areas. We would love to live here full time! Thank you to our exceptional hosts for a wonderful stay.
The apartment is very clean, cozy and comfortable. It is fully functional and very well organized. The owners live downstairs and are always available to answer questions. Irma was very helpful and shared information about trains and tours with us. She made a very good effort to speak with us in English although most people in this region speak German only. The views are spectacular and it’s a short walk from the wilderswil station.
