I love the small details considered by the hotel. There are two types of pillows in the room. The toilet is new and clean. The owner has a special room key system, so that they know if the guests return or not. The hotel gate is locked after 9pm. The room is not overpriced and we can see Matterhorn directly from the room.

Super clean, modern and had all the amenities. We were fortunate to get an upgrade and had a stunning suite with a balcony view right onto the Matterhorn. We enjoyed cheese fondue on our balcony and all the staff were beyond helpful. We were leaving early in the morning and they organised a taxi for us free of charge. Super central and bus stop right outside. Would highly recommend this property.

This hotel is in an amazing location. We booked a room with views of the Matterhorn, which I would highly recommend. Being able to walk out onto the balcony doors and see that magnificent mountain in the comfort of our own room, was awesome. The beds are super comfy and the pillows great. We ate at the hotel restaurant once, and the food was all 5 star, the complimentary breakfast was great too. We made great use of the spa facilities and loved it. Beautiful quiet town. Has enough tourist traps for you to spend money on, which I did not do. There are cog-wheel trains as well as cable cars to take you up the mountain to get good views of Matterhorn and other peaks. I decided to take a short hike up the mountain towards Senegga and enjoyed some amazing views and ran into some locals for a great chat along the way. The town itself is so small that you can walk from one end to the other in half hour. Great restaurants. I had dinner one night at Brown Cow pub which had locals as well as tourists. Good vibe and staff and food.

Zermatt is a destination location, so expect people to come in droves to see the Matterhorn. If you stay in town, it seems relatively quieter at night and in the morning. While there are a number of "attractions" that you can take a train, funicular or tram to, Zermatt has some great hiking trials accessible from the village. All in all, it is a beautiful place and the Matterhorn is a striking site to behold.

This area is a gem of nature’s majesty.
This area is a gem of nature’s majesty. Rode the train up to Gronergrat so that was a delight to be way up there. But the hike down was moderate in difficulty & the views were incredible. On another day, hiking to Taesch was a great way to explore the area. Several choices of local markets. Crowds were around the village center but not oppressively so (think Venezia or 5Terre).

A must see!
A must see! Breathtaking to see the Matterhorn in real life, lovely little Swiss village with chalets, restaurants and boutiques; many opportunities to alk, hike, take telecabines for those less physically able or incline to exercise.

Zermatt is the perfect small mountain town.
Zermatt is the perfect small mountain town. Lots of nearby hiking and very good lifts up into the mountains. On a clear day the views are spectacular. The nearby gorge is also a great place to hike and view nature. Ate at the Brown Cow—excellent burgers.

After visiting Zermatt for a week in January to ski we...
After visiting Zermatt for a week in January to ski we returned at the beginning of September to get an appreciation of The Alps in late summer / early autumn for 3 nights 4 days. And it did not disappoint. We had all weather from 25 degrees and sunny (in the town) to -1 and a snow storm (at Glacier Paradise). Mostly combustion engine free you get around Zermatt by walking. Alternatively there are electric taxis or a free electric shuttle bus. Take the train up to Gornergrat and the cable cars to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Both pricey but worth it. Our tip would be to get the Peak to Peak pass. If you pay for a 2 or 3 day pass you will get unlimited access to both of these (instead of just one return journey) and all the other open trains, gondolas and cable cars and then you can do as much or as little hiking / walking around the mountain trails as you wish. Still not cheap but the best value for money by far.

Best of Zermatt. We are not used to see satisfying hotels serving with many employees. Mirabeau was exceptional with its staff👍🏻. Location is super, close to center, Gornegrat Bahn and Sunnega station to reach mountain. Both restaurants, Marie’s Deli and L'EPICURE are perfect. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Night housekeeping service refreshes the ambiance 💫. Spa and indoor pool are great. the hydro massage in the pool and jacuzzi are very strong and relaxing after ski. We will come again.
The brekfast had a great selection of meats and breads , sweet buns croissants jams . Fresh eggs You can cook to Your liking and great selection of hot drinks . Hotel location is i think the best You can get in Zermatt , the family that runs the place is extra friendly and helpful i absolutely loved every bit of my stay they make it exceptionally good , gave great recommendations about the town etc i will defenatly come back :)))
As soon as we checked in , we were delighted as the lovely reception staff upgraded our room to a junior suite with one of the best views of the Matterhorn we shall never forget. It was truly incredible!! The breakfast in the morning was well organised & plenty of choices . Well done to La Couronne , c’est fantastique !! We will recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip in Zermatt . 😀
It is the best hotel experience we had in Switzerland, we have our own view to Matterhorn mountain from the balcony and there is a sauna in basement level which ease our tiredness from hiking around the area.
Also, the hotel breakfast is so rich, wide variety of cheeses, hams and fresh made juicy.
Highly recommended to spend a couple nights here when you in Zermatt
The hotel is stunning, clean and modern. The Spa area overlooking Zermatt is beautiful also! But the best part about our stay was the staff and the service provided. They were so attentive and helpful, probably the best service we’ve ever experienced.
