It was very clean and neat. The bar area and lounge is pretty comfy as well. Location is good and you do get a view of the Eiger from the balcony.

All staff members were super friendly, the room was very comfortable and clean, and the spa was fabiblous. Relaxing in the hottub after a long day of walking was SO good.

We really loved staying at this traditional looking, but very modern hotel.
The room and bed were so comfortable and the views from the balcony fantastic.
Breakfast was a generous buffet in addition to a choice from a cooked menu. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful.
We were fortunate to have great weather during our visit and were able to enjoy an aperitif and evening meals on the sunny terrace. Again, we found the waiting staff very friendly and helpful.
There was a lovely little lounge with honesty bar as well as a manned bar by the restaurant.
The location is also fabulous - five minutes walk to the railway station and two minutes walk to the cable car. Both giving access to great hikes.
We are looking forward to returning!

- The staff was great! Made the most to make us feel like home (which is also the motto of the place, as we understood :) ), and gave us recommendations and guidance how to spend our time in the area
- The dinner at the hotel restaurant was great and very well priced for the location. the chef accommodated my dietary requirements (transformed the 4-course meal into a vegetarian one), which was super tasty and featured cuisine from that and nearing areas. Would recommend to book!

Don't take the scooter down the Alp unless you are really accustomed to front brakes! I found out the hard way how quick the front brakes stop and it almost ruined our vacation! Otherwise, totally fun area to visit!

Beware the trotti bikes!!
Beware the trotti bikes!! My 11 yo son was given a trotti bike that had half of one of its brake handles broken off resulting in his hand slipping off the shortened brake handle whilst riding and him crashing onto the asphalt at speed. We were unaware of this defect in the bike until our son showed and explained to us how the accident had happened. Staff were not interested that the bike was faulty and just said he could have returned the bike if he wanted to and that the handle stub turned the brake on when pressure was applied to it and that was good enough to classify it as a working bike. I was very disappointed with this attitude and expected a higher standard from a Swiss company than handing out damaged bikes to kids and expecting them to do a full safety check on it before using it - that is THEIR responsibility not a kids responsibility!

Location. The hostel is located at the top of the Schwarzhorn, last stop of the Grindelwald-First cable car. It is very nice to have the possibility to ski in the morning with the near-empty slopes and fresh snow. The staff is very friendly as well.
Friendly and accommodating staff, easy checkin, good apartment in a good setting with scenic views, close to supermarkets, restaurants and bus stop, railway station and Grindelwald-First Gondola.
The location of this hotel is excellent, less than 5min walk to the train station and away from the main road. The room was great - spacious, clean and quiet and with a great view. The staff are super welcoming and helpful. The area is magnificent - plenty of hiking and fantastic places to visit, even in the off-season. The gondola to Grindelwald-First is about 5 mins walk away. The trains around the region are timely and super easy to use.
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They took a good care of us. We enjoyed the pool and spa were very much. The room was bigger than we expected. Location was good, close to the Grindelwald train station and right next to Grindelwald-First cable cart station. Breakfast buffets were good quality with many choices
