Made the most to make us feel like home (which is also the motto of the place, as we understood :) ), and gave us recommendations and guidance how to spend our time in the area - The dinner at the hotel restaurant was great and very well priced for the location. the chef accommodated my dietary requirements (transformed the 4-course meal into a vegetarian one), which was super tasty and featured cuisine from that and nearing areas. We really loved staying at this traditional looking, but very modern hotel. The room and bed were so comfortable and the views from the balcony fantastic. Breakfast was a generous buffet in addition to a choice from a cooked menu. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. We were fortunate to have great weather during our visit and were able to enjoy an aperitif and evening meals on the sunny terrace. Again, we found the waiting staff very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely little lounge with honesty bar as well as a manned bar by the restaurant. The location is also fabulous - five minutes walk to the railway station and two minutes walk to the cable car. Both giving access to great hikes. We are looking forward to returning!

The views of the mountain from the hotel and the village itself is awesome. A small department store is within walking distance. Cable cars going to Schilthorn is also nearby. We had a junior suite, it was spacious and had good facilities. The balcony is shared by all the rooms. We had the view of the town on one side and of the mountains from another. We had dinner at the restaurant, there were many vegetarian options and the food was good.

Amazing location, but be aware you have to walk a mile to get there! Stunning views across the valley to the Jungfrau and many glaciers. Very friendly and accommodating host, who did all he could to ensure we weren't disappointed. Lovely dining terrace and balcony in room, both with bathed in sun when the clouds clear.
