Waterfall is great, go on the boat, fly over it, go behind the falls but don't stay in Niagara Falls, too touristy, hotels footfall is huge, the lifts are constantly full and the breakfasts very mediorce at best. I recommend staying in Niagara on the Lake which is beautiful and visiting the falls for the day.

We are from the southeastern US. We visited on Labor Day weekend and the weather was great for the weekend but it turned cold midweek. The falls are beautiful when the mist begins to freeze. We had a wonderful vacation.

This is an absolute MUST.
This is an absolute MUST. Get yourself on a boat on the river, behind the falls through the tunnels & get out onto the shelf to get yourself saturated, watch from the walkways alongside, helicopter above, get your accommodation so that you see them (even more spectacular the higher the floor you go.)

We had asked for a room with a view of Niagara Falls, and the Sheraton Fallsview delivered big time! We had a lovely room with a clear view of both the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls! Beautiful! The hotel has food options, and is located close to the City Cruises, as well as to restaurants and activities for families. Very enjoyable!

Double Queen beds with view of the top of the horseshoe falls on the fifth floor. It was clean and reasonably priced for what it was. Good value for the price.
There was a lot to like about Embassy Suites … Offsite parking with fast, free shuttle service. Breakfast and Evening Reception (2 drinks with snacks per person per evening) was included. Fast elevators. Beautiful, spacious rooms. Ours had a perfect view of the Horseshoe Falls. Close to restaurants, casino, incline railway to the falls. Friendly, helpful staff.
We selected this hotel for its location overlooking the horseshoe falls. The room was spacious, the bathroom had both a Jacuzzi and a tiled shower, and there was a sitting area with a sofa in front of the window.
The room was very clean and well appointed-I liked the European feel of the room. Super comfy bed. Was walking distance from the Niagara and Horseshoe Falls as well as casinos and other attractions. The young lady at the check in desk was very friendly. I thought the price was great for being so close to the falls. We were there on a Wednesday so that helped with price I am sure. They also had a decent free breakfast according to my husband.
The view of the Horseshoe Falls was fantastic, well worth the upgrade! 15th floor, quiet and well designed; there was even a small window to open to hear the Falls. Simply could not beat the location, the friendly professionalism of the staff and the restaurant on premises!
