The room was spacious with high ceilings. I really liked the hardwood floor as opposed to carpet. The room was on the 5th floor overlooking the river and was very quiet. Great rain shower. Loved the idea of the wine dispensary in the lobby, but none of the selections were appealing to me so I didn’t partake. But it’s a great concept. Parking was easy about a block away.

To explore old Quebec the location of the hotel can't be better. To walk downtown takes about ten minutes. The ramparts and the Citadel start near the hotel. The breakfast was simple, but it had everything one can possibly need.
The location was excellent. It is extremely convenient to the Old Quebec City and the Citadel. And since it is near the end of a street it was very quiet with nearly no car traffic and minimal foot traffic. We had a great view of the Seaway and of the city.
The Chateau is a beautiful historic hotel situated at the top of the banks of the St Lawrence Seaway. The boardwalk out front with its live entertainers, views and adjacent access to the Promenade and the Citadel is an outstanding feature. The ability to walk to everything that Old Quebec City center has to offer was another bonus. The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable.
This hotel is located on the edge of the historic part of the city but a quick walk to everything you want to see and do. The citadel is very close and the Fontaine de Tourny as well as being just up the block from the Hotel Frontenac.
