A fabulous Art Nouveau house; a charming host; a world class pianist playing incredible music in the house; wonderful views of the lake across the road and Flagey nearby with a beautiful cacophony of birdsong from the warring parakeets and crows (with the windows open! - no noise at all when closed) - this is,a very special place to stay.

L-Avenue is one of the better hotels we have stayed at. The room is more like an apartment and is extremely spacious and clean. It has a small kitchen and everything you need to make coffee or tea. The bed is extremely comfortable and large. The shower tub is right next to the bedroom and the toilet is in a completely different part of this room/apartment, which is always good. The location of the hotel is also excellent, right next to the tram station from which the tram takes you to the city center. There are several restaurants and bars in the vicinity of the hotel. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. All recommendations!

The hotel is located close to the shopping district, although with some distance to walk to the closest underground train station. Pleasant breakfast with a classical variety of food.
