An elderly woman who serves breakfast took my credit card and pretending she didn’t know what she was doing, said she didn’t know if the charge went through and needed my card again. She charged me the first time as Mollie Scooter and a second time as Hotel Rubenshof.
This fraud required my bank cancel my card while traveling abroad. The domino effect that is 5 automatic bill pay accounts linked to this card has resulted in hours of phone calls with numerous service providers and some who cannot get through because of international issues.
All of this was caused because when I asked point blank if they were Mollie Scooter the owner Karel said no.
Then my bank’s international fraud department discovered indeed it is the hotel billing under another name. Months later I am still dealing with the aftermath of late payments due to canceled card. Such a colossal waste of time.
