Calm area, really good location to venture out with the car or bicycle into Genk and the national park or explore nearby Zutendaal.
Very clean rooms (we know as we saw three of them, but more on that below in the next field).
Beware that the standard rooms are very compact yet feature everything you need for a short stay.
Bathroom was new and good pressure in the shower.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, you can feel there is a sense of making the guest feel welcome and comfortable.
The cozy and family run Hotel 't Hert is situated in the center of Genk, surrounded by green areas with lovely biking and walking paths. A golf course is located nearby.

First off, amazing value for money. We paid very little and receiving a nice room WITH breakfast. The hotel was perfectly located right in the center but in a more quiet street. The room was clean and well-equiped. The beds were comfy and the bathroom had a bath and 2 sinks, perfect to our needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were the last folks at breakfast one morning and the host asked us if we wanted any more specific items. And said breakfast was extensive for such a modest hotel.
