We went to parap markets on Saturday morning but not as big as mindil. Lots of food choices though.
Taxis are cheap enough and needed to get around in the heat.

We chose this motel for the parking right outside our room and the attractive price. The room was very clean, spacious, with a well equipped kitchenette, private patio and the free breakfast delivered to our room an added treat. The use of a laundry was handy too. The location between Mindil beach and the Esplanade was perfect. I would definitely recommend.

Shuttle to Mindil Beach is a great option.

Location excellent!! Quiet within building yet short easy walk to taxi ranks, restaurants, Street Art Trail, Heritage Trail, Hop On Hop Off bus stop, Tour Pick-up Points, supermarket, chemist, bottle shop, variety shops. Well located price wise for taxi fares to Stokes Wharf, Cullen Bay Ferry Terminal and Mindil Beach Markets.
It was a modern 2br hotel room, administered by a private individual (Sue).
Well layed-out (2 bathrooms, decent kitchen), and walking distance to much of the CBD - although we used the dedicated carpark and drove lots of places (6mins to Cullen Bay, Sailing Club, Mindil beach, Parap, Museums).

Early checkin, location to Mindil beach markets & Darwin sailing club. Some food at the hotel and drinks if you can afford it.
Better off a short stay here though. The pool when not packed on the weekend with the public.
The room & bathroom were very nice, comfortable, spacious and clean. Location of the hotel is very good, close to restaurants, shops and is pretty much midway between the Waterfront area and the Cullen Bay Ferry/Mindil Beach.
Great location! Right on the Esplanade and only a short walk to Aquascene, Mindil Beach, Tour Bus Collection Point & City Centre. We stayed over a weekend and while there was music pumping at the local clubs, you couldn't hear it with the doors closed. The host was friendly and happy which made a great start to the holiday and the apartment had everything we needed.
Great view from harbourside room. Loved the washer and dryer after being out bush. One bedroom apartment was excellent. OAK Restaurant was great. Desk staff very friendly. Easy car parking. We stayed in 2518. If you stay in room 17 on any level above about 16, you should see sunrise over the city and sunset over Mindil beach.
