First of all, during our check-in, the receptionist was amazing. She narrated all the things we could do during our stay. The room was spacious and had a balcony with a great view of the pool and the beach. The breakfast was unbelievably good. We could order omelettes and pancakes, alongside continental breakfast options such as perfect pastries.. You wouldn’t get hungry for a while after having that wonderful breakfast. The swimming pool and the jakuzi were amazing to enjoy after a long day. They also changed our towels and cleaned our room daily. The hotel was also surrounded by many good quality restaurants.

Tessa's on the Beach, hotel in Gold Coast

Located in Gold Coast, a few steps from Bilinga Beach, Tessa's on the Beach provides accommodations with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace.

We arrived to see a very angry guest who like us could not park their car with in the complex and told to park out on the highway. The unit complex is a very old 60's Motel complex that has been tarted up, with some modern touches. We were charged $295 dollars per night for 2 nights so $590, which after Noosa was just ridiculous but we were stuck for options. The location is too far away from Tugun or Kirra Beach and you have along walk to either. Forget walking to supermarkets as you need to drive. We eventually found carpark but were stressed about taking the car out for fear of not being able to park again. The small motel unit was clean, with nice paint and wall paper and nice soaps. The staff were very pleasant and I felt sorry for them having to deal with dishonest advertising regarding the carparking. Also you are right under the airport flight path.

If you want a quieter location on the Gold Coast but also...

If you want a quieter location on the Gold Coast but also want to be able to walk to cafes and restaurants or to a general store. Kirra beach has it all and a lovely stretch of uncrowded white sand patrolled surf beach. Only 2 minutes drive from Gold Coast airport it is possible to be on the beach within minutes of disembarking. Highly recommend this area!

KIRRA is cheaper but the beach has been washed away a lot,...

KIRRA is cheaper but the beach has been washed away a lot, you walk a longer way out to the water. Its just a huge open flat beach, not scenic. Most people go to Cooloongatta or Rainbow to swm etc, but Kirra is cheaper accomadation, so you could jump on a bus or take your car to get to the better restaurants etc etc

Amazing location and view of Kirra beach. The apartment was a good size as well as the bedrooms. The kitchen/living area was lovely with a nice view of the ocean. There were some mornings where we could see the whales breaching in the ocean!!

Very nice staff, helpful and friendly. Kitchen area is ok. Room is comfortable, the place has a lot of light. It's very close to Kirra beach, for me, the best on the Gold Coast.
