    Very interesting.

Very interesting. Underground tour is around a loop constructed for tourism. The stopping points illustrated a day in the life of a miner in an era when industrial safety was seriously lacking. Guide was knowledgeable and informative. The above ground exhibits were extensive. The visitor centre is small but displays well chosen exhibits. And the miner's pastie was an unexpected highlight for lunch. Having the talking tram terminus right outside the door is an added bonus.

We loved our trip to the Gold Mine.

We loved our trip to the Gold Mine. Pro tip: book yourself in for the 82m Tour where you get to dress up in miners clothes and do down further than the standard tour! The guides are great, you get to use a mining drill, and lunch is included! We did the 11am tour which finished around 1.30pm. Best historical site tour we've done in YEARS. Already planning to go back and do the 228m deep tour!

It's my second time staying here and I really enjoyed it! The location is great (it's right next to the Sacred Heart cathedral and just a few minutes walk to the City centre and the Central Deborah gold mine)! The room was quite spacious and it had all the necessary facilities to make a two-night stay quite comfortable. I would definitely love to stay here again!
