Very comfortable accommodations in the heart of the Daintree. The huts were clean and comfortable but still offered the "off grid" vibe we were looking for. Staff is knowledgable and happy to offer advice about the area. 10/10

Daintree Deep Forest Lodge, hotel in Cape Tribulation

Surrounded by rainforest jungle in the Daintree National Park, Deep Forest Lodge offers secluded apartments with private bathroom, basic cooking facilities and a barbecue on each veranda.

We arrived really late as we had to take a huge detour due to a closed road. The lady checking us in gave us excellent directions and advice, and stayed up to greet us and show us around. We decided to stay an extra night and she offered us another room (smaller than the one we booked) but she would not charge us for it. She is really the sweetest host. The resort is wonderful and quiet, and you're in the middle of the rainforest, just stunning. Short drive to Cape Tribulation and cafes and restaurants.

Great to stay with your own car and to explore.

Great to stay with your own car and to explore. We loved our own fishing spots and freshwater swimming holes. The Daintree ice cream factory is great. You must walk around and see their fruit trees. The ‘Crocodile Express’ company, specifically is fantastic- 2 trips to upper and lower rivers on the Daintree (near the river crossing) is amazing. $39 for two different trips. Over 2 1/2 hrs- it’s value that other companies don’t offer.

It was great staying at PK's again. Stayed there 24 years ago on a backpacking trip, and it hasn't changed much. Staff was a little different with previous trip being more friendly and kind, but it was no biggie. Hard to beat staying anywhere in beautiful Cape Tribulation

Highly recommend waking up early to see the sunrise - we saw sharks and sea turtles just outside the resort on the beach. Kangaroo fillet steak was delicious. Love Cape Tribulation - such a beautiful place - and saw a cassowary and its two chicks at sunset as we were driving there

Fantastic location just at the end of the road, steps away from the beach! Only a very short drive to where most tours depart in Cape Tribulation. The pool was very nice, the restaurant good, and the cabin we stayed in (St Crispins) was private and so close to the beach

It was affordable for the Cape Tribulation area. No kitchen so we weren’t able to cook (that could be good or bad depending on how you look at it. =)). There were tea and coffee making facilities and we were allowed to have cup noodles on the balcony.

The location was excellent being very close to Cape Tribulation. Accomodation was a whole house set isolated and alone in a clearing in the middle of the Daintree Rainforest which promoted a feeling of being part of it. Extra large open doors and spacious covered verandah added to this.
