The views are stunning. After the crowds leave for the day, it is very cozy up on top of the mountain. The staff was very helpful. Make sure you bring everything you need up the mountain with you. You have to pay each time you use the two gondolas up the mountain.
Clean, bright, comfortable, fully equipped apartment with helpful,friendly, accommodating hostess in a very peaceful and quiet setting. Small grocery 15 min walk away.We were prepared for the thirty minute walk (no hills) from the train station, which included beautiful gardens and typical Austrian style houses. A bus between Obertraun and Hallstatt operates often for 2.50 euros or it’s an hour long walk. Near hiking trails and Dachstein Krippenstein.
The breakfast was awesome, the view is great overall, location is awesome, easy to get, close to hallstatt and krippenstein cable car. Really close to lake if u want to swim, the town has a lot of restaurants tho choose from and they are pretty ok.
Perfect location close to everything e.g., supermarket, Dachstein Krippenstein, and Hallstatt. So, it make more convenience to do the sightseeing by hiking, cable car, and ship. The place is very clean and staff is nice and kind. The bed is comfortable. Only recommend!
We loved our stay at Lodge am Krippenstein! It is very accessible (right in front of the cable car to the top), and very close to the Five Fingers lookout point. There are great hiking trails all around, including hikes that lead to another cable car which returns right back to the Lodge. Dinner was available until 19:30 (very delicious!) and breakfast until 9:30. Everything was very clean, the staff were very warm and welcoming. We loved this lodge and will definitely return when we visit again!
Clean small double room with fully equipped kitchen for self catering. A few meters from train station ( Bad Isghl and points-north)and bus stop ( to Hallstatt and seilbahn Krippenstein). Good value stay and friendly owners.
