It was pretty big and nice apartment for a couple :) very warm and comfortable :) it is a close distance from the ski bus about 5-7mins walk, otherwise about 15 mins drive to Alpendorf.

Breakfast is extra - we had breakfast on the first day - good choice of continental breakfast, cereals, fruit etc. Apartment was clean and comfortable and just right for our short stay. Better to have a car, as the apartment is a 20 minute uphill walk to Alpendorf, but the ski bus stop is 100m away. Just a bit tricky for going out for dinner, as the ski buses stop early, and there are limited options in Alpendorf (most eating options are in quite upmarket hotels)
Absolutely loved the breakfast. Lady at reception was incredibly friendly and hospitable and the room was very well priced. I've stayed in many places in Sankt Johann whilst skiing at Alpendorf and this was by far my favourite.
Only thing to note is that the ski bus can be a little confusing to work out from this specific location, I was collected from just outside the hotel but I don't know if it is an official stop on the Alpendorf ski bus route.
The self catering apartment was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. We loved the peaceful location and being able to see the mountains from the balcony.
We really liked being able to hike from Der Jaghof to Liechtensteinklamm and also to Alpendorf which are both nearby - it's a lovely walk through the fields and forest.
Children are well catered for - there is play equipment and a trampoline on site and a playground just down the road.

We had large apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. The apartment has an amazing view of the valley and the area. The apartment is very well equipped and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need - just like at home. The location of the hotel is great - the cable car to the Ghost Mountain (Geisterberg Alpendorf) is a few hundred meters from the place and the Lichtenstein Gorge is a 5-minute drive away. Great location for those who want to travel in the area, as most attractions are within an hour's drive.
Very nice apartment, big, comfty, modern stylish looking. Everything was clean, and it had everything what we needed. The host is very kind. Great view from the balcony to the valley! The small skitown Alpendorf is like a little gem on the mountain, beautiful little hotels and apartments everywhere, like in in the movies.
The Host waited for us till we arrive and gave us the apartment key's ( we arrived late after midnight from Munich). The apartment was clean and very nice furnished with sauna (for those who like sauna). Location was just next to Alpendorf Ski site (5 min walk) in St johann. view from the apartment was of a hart filling.
The Alpenschlossl is an exceptional hotel, the quality is evident. The hotel owners and staff are so kind and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant is exceptional and coupled with great facilities and super close proximity to the Alpendorf lift station, it genuinely deserves full marks.
I've been skiing in Austria for many years but I have every intention of returning to the Alpenschlossl.
