Indeed, the staff is friendly/professional, the building interior is verry pleasant and it makes you feel relaxed.

Rooms were spacious and very high and clean. You could see the Danube from where we stayed, so an extra plus. We had two double rooms communicating between them and each had it's own shower that was a big bonus when one comes back after a hot day of traveling. There is an elevator that is very useful when you check in or out and have to carry your luggage.
The location is next to a historic tower inside the walls of the old city, so reaching different local landmarks is very easy.
They also have a restaurant with good food and a nice atmosphere.
Gasthof zum Goldenen Anker occupies a 400-years old historic building next to the Danube River and the medieval city wall and a 3-minute walk from the Old Town of Hainburg.
