The public transport system is very good and provides good access to most tourist destinations.
The Schonbrun Palace was a little pricy and somewhat over rated with overly large tours preventing sensible access.
The visit to the Spanish riding school was a little underwhelming and the quite expensive tickets we purchased were actually standing tickets with extremely limited viewing.
The visit to the Military Museum was fantastic. The building is exceptional and the exhibits very relevant and well presented
Austrian cuisine is not for the faint hearted and leaves a lot to be desired

This is great place. the first thing is we can reach the place within 2 minutes from the Heiliganstad train station (U4 Line) . I thin this is the best place to stay. And we have "BILLAs" supermarket near by, and a Japanese restaurant nearby to hasv our meals. And the SMARTMENTS accommodation is facilitated of all of the equipment to cooks including a electric cooker as well. they have provided all the glasses, bowels, and cutleries. This is amazing. and the accommodation appetence is remarkable. it provides everything we need. the hotel is located at the best place of town Heligenstad. I will really chose this for my next visit as well as i have much places to cover in Vienna. Bethovans Musim is 5 minutes away. Tihs is a great place. The people come from Vienna International air port can come to the hotel using a train. you can see the traing Map and you can come using a U1 line (Red) and transfer to a u4 (green line) as a example in Karlplatz. again you can come to the heligenstad. This is a one end of U4 line. you can get 7 day ticket form a Winer Linen train ticketing system located at train station by paying 22 Euros

I used a chance to visit Vienna due to not perfect connection between my flights. I liked the Votivkirche with organ music , the City House, the exhibition in Albertina. The McDonalds food was more delicious than anywhere else.

It is a simply beautiful city.
It is a simply beautiful city. I wish I had stayed longer and had the time to explore more on foot. I am sure the Big Bus hop-on, hop-off would normally be good value, but you need to take the complete tour to get your money's worth. Unfortunately, we took it just a few stops to the place to get the Danube boat tour so, for us, the bus wasn't great value. The boat trip was very disappointing. Most of the trip was down the canal, and then up the Danube to be dropped off at a different point so we had to find our own way back. And the boat trip itself was so boring. Just fields, factories and a few bridges. Oh, and one big lock (which they called a dam). I wish we hadn't bothered with that.

Vienna is a great place for a first visit to Europe!
Vienna is a great place for a first visit to Europe! Accommodations are much cheaper than other large cities and the transportation system is affordable and easy to use. Any cuisine in Europe can be found in Vienna. Depending on your interests you could easily stay a week and not see everything on your list. A minimum of 2 full days to just get the highlights!
This is a great hotel in a good location in Vienna. You can walk into the centre (about 25 mins to Karlsplatz) but it is very easy to get the u banh wherever you need to go. The u banh is a few minutes walk away and takes you to both the city centre and Schonbrunn palace. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are friendly, they even gave us a voucher for a free drink at the hotel to celebrate my birthday. The rooms was nice and spacious.
Ideal location of the hotel, in the city centre ! We liked the hotel, and liked the room we stayed in. The staff is very polite!
We liked living in such a beautiful location in the city. Wry close to many attractions, walking time about 1-15 minutes . We wholeheartedly recommend a trip to Vienna and a stay at this hotel.
Hotel had beautiful Christmas decorations and my family and I felt really good staying here for a few days visiting Vienna Christkindlmarkt. Room service was great (clean room every day, clean towels, etc). It’s 20 min walk from City Centre. Parking was reserved and available as planned.
This hotel is excellent if you have meetings in the Vienna International Centre (UN) and Austria Centre. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. Staff takes care of everything you need. Also city centre is not too far away (15-20 min by metro).
