The guesthouse is very charming and right in the middle of town, surrounded by restaurants and within walking distance of whatever you may need. If you’re a skier, there is a cool outdoor apres-ski bar across the street and there is a ski bus stop (goes to two great resorts) about a minute away.
The host is incredibly hospitable and goes out of her way to make your stay more comfortable. Every morning, there was a very nice breakfast to look forward to. The room was tidied every day—and she even brought me Christmas cookies! If you want a cold beer in the evening, you can buy one there for a good price. It’s also not a problem to store ski and snowboard equipment there.
Surrounded by the Hohe Tauern National Park, Eggerhof provides rooms with free Wi-Fi in the center of Mallnitz. All guests can make use of the wellness area with a sauna and a steam bath.

Reception owner was very pleasant and helpful . Good secure bicycle storage . Close to Alpe-Adria bike trail . In a beautiful sylvan area surrounded by cliffs and mountains .
Close to Bad Gastein but out of the hustle and bustle of the resort town .
Elevator to room . Room 209 comfortable and bathroom clean .

On-site snack bar had several excellent dinner choices and staff was very friendly . Several other good restaurants close by if desired .
Breakfast not spectacular but pleasant and adequate .
