Ben Tre
At the inn, every room has a balcony with a garden view. With a private bathroom equipped with a shower and free toiletries, rooms at Hide Away Bungalows in Ben Tre City also provide guests with free WiFi, while certain rooms here will provide you with a lake view. The units will provide guests with a minibar. I don't know if you know the feeling when you're on your way from one place to the next and only have to make a stopover to meet the basic needs: eat, shower, chill a bit, sleep, a taxi at an unspeakably early time and especially someone who will help you through all of this even though you don't speak a word of Vietnamese. We found so much more in the Hideaway Bungalows: the best homemade pho I have ever eaten, very authentic, large huts with a beautiful outdoor bath area, a panorama window in the middle of the most beautiful jungle with jungle sounds, a host who even later in the evening helped with concerns (vegan breakfast or ordering a taxi early in the morning). And all this in a wonderfully rural area, where you get to know a lot of people and are still connected to the city 24/7. Together they guided me to the right bus station and it was only on the bus that I really realized how lucky I was to have found this place.
Everything! Hieu and Amie are amazing, so welcoming and helpful. The facilities are amazing, the family dinners are a brilliant way to socialise with other people and get to know the family. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Everything about this place is beautiful. The people that run it - Amy and Hue, their parents, and the other lovely ladies there are so welcoming, some of the kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They get you involved with everything, helping to cook dinner, learning about their culture, making things from the land, they’re also curious about everything and everyone they meet. It was lovely sharing and learning about each others lives. Hands down my favourite experience in Vietnam.
The family was super nice and it was a great time staying at the homestay. We could rent the bikes and a scooter, and breakfast was always made fresh for us. We could also help ourselves to free water, and we had dinner at the stay once. The food was good Vietnamese comfort food, big portions. The hosts were super friendly and always helpful. The dogs were also really cute! Totally recommend staying with them, it's a very great and chill place which gives you a little glimpse of the life in the Mekong delta.

Everything was amazing! Amy and her family are so welcoming and it was a once in a lifetime experience (especially the boat tour :)) The family dinners each night were our highlight
EVERYTHING! Could not fault it. Arrived to a welcome coconut beverage and DELICIOUS home made dinner … so much food! Such authentic experience. Kind and welcoming family. Worth every penny.
Our spot was a lovely clean spacious villa in a rural setting. Ms Thu is a delightful host and we took their firefly tour and dinner which were both fantastic. Free bikes and some super cycling on the island of the homestay. Strongly recommended!!
Quiet and a nice break from the city. Took a boat tour from the property, this was well organized and complete with plenty of snacks, drinks and dinner. The guide was informative and fun. We ate here each night, stayed 3 nights in the king room. Dinner and breakfast was wonderful. Used the bicycles to tour the surrounding area. Very friendly staff that took care of us.
Super location in the middle of nowhere. The family running the homestay is extremely friendly, charming and helpful. Delicious food made to order (including breakfast) The place really oozes a laid-back guest house atmosphere. Highly recommended! The private Mekong boat trip is also well worth doing. Watching the sun go down while buzzing along the Mekong really is quite something! A nice pool too, not large - but good for cooling down in!
The location, stunning surroundings, services proposed and the friendly hosts are all equally ideal. + Rustic yet cozy (with fan and AC) huts surrounded by vegetation equipped with mosquito nets make sure you have a good night sleep. + Included breakfast, delicious and cheap prepared meals available for lunch and dinner. + Excellent boat + cycling tour with an English-speaking guide proposed. + Bicycle (free) and motorcycle location (200k/day) offered on-site. Ideal stay in Ben Tre!
