At the inn, all rooms are equipped with a wardrobe. Complete with a private bathroom equipped with a shower and free toiletries, the units at Minh Kim Guesthouse have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and selected rooms here will provide you with a terrace. The rooms will provide guests with a fridge. We need accommodation near the bus station for our last night in the city. They storage our luggages after check out and we could rent the motobike for the whole day, which we really appreciated.
Absolutely everything was amazing! This family are so welcoming and kind and warm and created the most perfect local feeling for my stay in Chau Doc. I highly recommend cooking dinner with them each evening and asking for as many tips on what to do and see in the area as they are very helpful. They put me in touch with the nicest man named Thien who gave me a complete tour of the area including visiting floating fishing villages, rice paddies, the tra au forest, Sam mountain and its pagoda. There is no where else I would stay if I returned.
Staff were really helpful, made phone calls for us. The rooms were comfortable and clean. It was near the mountain and temples, and we got a taxi to the water front for bus and dinner.
Vi organised us well, from arriving by bus to leaving by boat, recommending dinner spots, nothing was too much trouble. Very clean room, great location and free laundry.
Great location with amazing view points, all the main sightseeing are nearby. Breakfast is sumptuous. We ordered traditional dishes/set for dinner, and it was amazing. Service is excellent. Everyone is super helpful with a big smile, except for the receptionists.
We had a room with a view overlooking the pool and the river that we had travelled on, by Hang Chau Express Ferry from Phnom Penh (definitely recommend that!). Location is perfect as you can easily walk along the promenade to the riverside market, as well as the bustling town centre. Lovely staff, pool well maintained. Breakfast (included) was amazing and we dined in for dinner which was a treat. More expensive for our budget, but great value for money. Staff booked transfer and bus to Ho Chi Minh City
The family is super kind and welcoming. We took the option at 150.000d/pax to have the dinner and the breakfast. The food was great. We had a little visit in the vegetables fields which was great.
We stayed at the Chau Doc Homestay for 3 nights. We arrived at 3am unexpectedly and she still organized a taxi to come pick us up. We could easily rent a motor bike for 2 days. On one day, the host took the time to show us around a farming village and their farming fields. She explained us how they sow the seeds, pluck them and bring them to the market. We also cooked dinner with the family. Overall, it was a great and homely stay. We would recommend this place for anyone staying in Chau Doc.
