Ciudad Vieja, Montevideo
Guest rooms in the inn are equipped with a flat-screen TV. The rooms are equipped with a private bathroom with a bidet and some rooms also feature a balcony. The rooms at FAUNA Montevideo have air conditioning and a desk. The place is privately owned by the charming architect that renovated it. He is one of the rare hosts that support their guests from start to finish, and he does that perfectly - extremely nice and knowledgeable, concerned and conversational. The hotel is beautifully designed with vintage items and the bed is perfect, with the right mattress hardness. There are complimentary fruits, mineral water, coffee and even some local spirits. Breakfast is not served and there are nice coffee shops nearby. These is certainly a place to remember and return to.
Carrasco
Located in Carrasco, less than 1 km from Playa Shangrila, Bidieen Inn Uruguay provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The property is around 1.5 km from San Jose de Carrasco Beach, 2.3 km from Playa Lagomar and 18 km from Tres Cruces Terminal Station. The inn also features free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. I am a foot so the location is not ideal. Taxi or walk everywhere. But I felt very welcome. The hosts were friendly and kind. They went out of their way to do little favors to make my day better.u
Hotel is near the airport, 10 minutes drive. There is a restauramt for having lunch an dinner and a good breakfast. Reception is open 24/7. Room and bathroom was clean, and housekeeping clean the second day also.
The location is incredible and lots of choices for coffee and dinners nearly. The wifi was fast so I could work from the hotel when needed. Very helpful and friendly staff, even though I barely know Spanish I could communicate with people. Really liked the mattress.
Breakfast is excellent, the view from the dinner is very nice (you can view the Montevideo´s Docks and part of the western bay), the pool was at the right temperature, very clean and comfortable to use, a lot of accessories available to use (life vest, inflatables toys, etc.). The food served in the top floor restaurant was also excellent. Its an excellent place for a quick stop in Montevideo, its very well located in the old center.
The property is right next to the ocean and our room had beautiful views. We liked the large room looking onto the water. The staff were exceptionally wonderful at the front desk, cleaning and the restaurant. The restaurant had wonderful food both for the breakfasts and the dinner.
Good breakfast with a nice selection of hot/cold foods. Also, restaurant had good food for lunch and dinner. The room was comfortable and spacious with a great view of port. Staff was friendly and helpful.

From beginning to end almost a perfect stay. Check in smooth. Diego was awesome. Room was above great. Wonderful view of the bay. Breakfast was very good. Best orange juice ever.... Location was great, could walk from hotel to the areas of town that I wanted to go. Bed was super comfy. I would stay here again. Had coffee at night a few times and the folks helping me were great.
The hotel is new, the staff is very kind, dinner was spectacular!
It’s very well located. Walkable to many dinning options. The room and the bed were a good size. The (included) breakfast was very good.
