The renovation--from the rooms to the reception area to the dining room and common sitting area--is contemporary, very nice, and of high quality. The owner and host is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and enthusiastically knowledgeable about both the history of the house and its famous former owner (and designer of the house) and of the City of Viseu itself. Our room was large, comfortable, and quiet, and our breakfast was excellent. The walk to the older central part of the city was reasonably short and a small price to pay for having free, onsite parking.

I just wished I could have stayed longer. I have travelled for 8 weeks and this place belongs to the top 2 . What a dream place, perfect.

Complete with a private bathroom fitted with a shower and free toiletries, all guest rooms at Marqueses de Ferreira have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and some rooms also feature a balcony. Everything. The property was incredibly clean and on such a quiet road but across from a Pharmacy and bakery where you could buy great coffees, pastries and the infamous 'Pastel De Nata'. Whilst the property was lovely it was surpassed by the fantastic daughter of the owner who helped us gain access and get settled despite us being 4 hours late due to flight delays. This was going above and beyond for a property that isn't a hotel with lots of staff.

Great views and good traditional Breakfast The staff so friendly and we also ate in the restaurant in the evening

Located around 16 km from Longroiva Hot Springs, the inn is also 41 km away from São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum. Some rooms at the property feature a balcony with pool view. This is a beautiful old villa. We spent one night in a large room with very high ceilings, balcony, queen bed, large bathroom. We were greeted by a nice lady at the front office when we arrived and she showed us the room. The room was warm; we used the heater. The parking was on the street just outside the property. The place was very quiet. The breakfast in the morning was great and plentiful. Excellent place to stay!

The view from the balcony was outstanding. Restaurant food was delicious - in fact, everything was exceptional. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Having the use of a kitchen was an added bonus.
