Ryan and family made this finca a truly wonderfully place to stay! Hiking the volcano was an adventure, we will not forget. Nice to have dinner with all guests together!
Unique stay in a treehouse with monkeys in the trees outside your porch :) Lovely surrounds and great area to stay close to get around the south of the island. Had an amazing dinner the first night at the restaurant on sight. We had a few minor issues with our room but staff were helpful in fixing these.
Lovely family run property with breakfast available if you want. Maybe 1 block from the main road. I stayed in the dorm which I had to myself apart from 1 night - has a fan which is great and a private bathroom. This is a Guest House not a hostel so I had to ask for hot water for my tea but it wasn’t a problem. I had the most contact with Narcy who kept me from being incredibly ripped off for an island tour….I did it with her and it was a great day! Narcy also has a beauty salon at the front and I got my nails done for only 200 cordobas :)
Best surf hostel in Popoyo. Great energy, focus on community (surf tours, family dinners, music, games nights) and amazing facilities (rooms, bar, infinity pool). Comfortable and clean. Rooms have A/C.Staff and owners very friendly and sociable. 20min walk from Popoyo main break / 15mins from Beginners Bay
The breakfast and dinner menu is absolutely great and had a unique variety of local Nicaraguan and Western dishes. The pool and the cabins are very quiet and offer amazing views of Conception Volcano and sunsets. Very close to the lodge, it is possible to start a hike to the top of Maderas volcano.
Amazing location, right on the beach, 20 minute walk to Beginners Bay. Really comfy sofas in the seating area. Nice and small, so not overcrowded with guests.
There were only two redeeming qualities this hostel possessed to make our stay somewhat bearable: the volunteers and the proximity to Playa Amarillo. The volunteers were terrific, very friendly, very helpful, and excelled at giving the place some energy. The hostel is located just five minutes from Playa Amarillo, which was some fantastic surfing while we were there and something I would recommend to anyone that surfs, especially beginner to intermediate surfers.
Great room, super bed. Careful and good advices, personel is very helpful. Wunderful dinner, restaurant is perfect (including good coctail, breakfast I had not).
Amazing views, helpful and friendly staff, wonderful dinner! Absolutely loved the outdoor shower. Highly recommend this place
