We loved this place which is a hidden gem. Tranquil, beautiful and surrounded by nature. Very comfortable beds. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location and easy to access by public transport. There is a restaurant next door as well which means you can get a meal if you don't want to venture out at night if you don't want to. The pool is an added bonus on a hot day.

We stayed in room 8, and it was very comfortable, clean, well air conditioned, and very pretty. The whole hotel is gorgeous. I love that there's a restaurant downstairs. We arrived before check in, and the staff were kind enough to let us store our luggage in a safe place while we went out to explore before checking in.

It is in a separate part of the house in the inner yard. There were two parts of the room, the 'entrance' and the bed chamber. No decorations, nothing much special inside. But everything was clean. The shower worked well, though there was just one tap, but in Tonala it is so hot that the water is warm by default. There was no conditioner, just a ventilator, so I had to leave the window open for the night, as it was very hot (+35 in the day time). There were no mosquitoes or any other bugs, and the sleeping in the end was pretty perfect. The coffee provided by the hosts was very tasty. I arrived much earlier check-in time, and the host allowed to leave the bags till later. I think, it is a good value for money, but do not expect any luxury or real touristic comfort.
