Good room size, nice mountain view, good hot spring, good food quality & choice in breakfast & dinner.
The location is fine. There was free flow of qine in dinner buffet.
The stuff was great, I had my dinners in my room and the food was amazing, especially the horse sashimi. I was lucky enough to get the Kiku room with the private bath, and that was such a luxurious experience.
The location is unique and the staff was very forthcoming! The dinner was also very tasty and an experience in its own right. The onsen is an experience in its own right!
Both breakfast and dinner are amazing. We had a group of 10 people and we all enjoyed the stay. Although the hotel is rather remote, there is peaceful, natural scenery around.
Excellent downtown location within walking distance to the castle and shopping. There is a bus stop a few hundred feet away and the bank next door has an IC card charging station. There is a Daily Yamazaki combini adjacent to the hotel as well. The room safe is big enough for my laptop and other valuables. The breakfast at this location is better than other Toyoko Inns.
We family stayed here one night. Dinner and breakfast is great. The view of balcony and restaurant is awesome. We took a walk around yard and camping area next morning.
The front desk staff were excellent. In particular, one of the ladies (from Nepal) spoke excellent English and went out of her way to help us make a car ferry reservation. Breakfast and dinner buffets were good. As were the onsen facilities.
Very helpful host! Due to super heavy rain, we needed to change our plan of next spot. The host sent us several suggestions even we have already left! Dinner portion is more than enough. A really tasteful and satisfying dinner! And the house itself is perfect for family especially having kids. Lots of space for kids burning their energy! Perfect!
A nice little gem in Kurokawa. From the moment I entered the premisses I was very impressed! It has a nice rustic feel to it with some modern twists. The open air onsen was very nice and after you are finished you can relax outside in your yukata while enjoying the beutiful garden in front of the reception. The staff is very friendly and service oriented. They spoke english well, so it was easy to communicate. Dinner and breakfast was great. We were able to pay using credit card which was much appreciated. I can easily recommend this hotel!
