Situated beside the beach in the scenic village of Dunmore East, The Strand Inn features an on-site seafood restaurant, free parking and an outdoor patio with views of the Hook Head Lighthouse.
Free Wi-Fi is provided in each room at The Strand, as well as a flat-screen TV and en suite bathroom. Many also come with a balcony overlooking the ocean.
Our room was absolutely lovely, it had a balcony, a king bed and bunk beds. We went to bed listening to the sounds of the sea. Couldn't have asked for more.
Very clean, lively lobby. Felt high class! The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We asked for a recommendation for dinner, and their recommendation was excellent-great food, live music. Wonderful experience with the hotel and staff!

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service. The spa was outstanding, outdoor jacuzzi a treat and the pool was nice and quiet. We travelled with our six month old baby, and the Cliff House hotel was really baby friendly, the staff were so amazing, offering cool luxury baby high chairs, so we enjoyed our dinner together. Food was exceptional, seafood in particular. Room on the small side, but the luxury bathroom and bathtub, private terrace and views of water were what the experience was all about.

My sister and I loved the views of the garden we had at breakfast. We were also happy with the portion sizes that we had for breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea. It was lovely and quiet at the hotel so we slept well. We enjoyed using the pool facilities. There were also some stunning views at Cheekpoint, a tin minute drive from the hotel.
Great breakfast; location is good, with a comfortable 10 minute walk into the main square and quay just beyond. The decor is a little dated but this adds a little to its charm. Comfortable room, well stocked with water and tea, coffee etc although I couldn’t find a safe. Staff were very helpful and pleasant; when I said I would be leaving before I could have breakfast they readily offered dinner the evening before at an equivalent reduced rate.
